"This Is 'My Land', " says the Lord

No matter which translation you read, verses 1 and 2 of Joel 3, say that Israel will be prosperous in the Day of Judgment against the nations, and the Lord says He will judge them because they divided the land of Israel--His Land!!!

May the Lord open your eyes of understanding to what's going on in Israel, before it is too late.

Joel 3 New International Version

"In those days and at that time,
when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather all nations
and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will enter into judgment against them
concerning my inheritance, my people Israel,
for they scattered my people among the nations
and divided up my land...

King James Version of Joel 3

For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land...

New Living Translation of Joel 3
“At the time of those events,” says the Lord,
“when I restore the prosperity of Judah and Jerusalem,
I will gather the armies of the world
into the valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will judge them
for harming my people, my special possession,
for scattering my people among the nations,
and for dividing up my land...

Contemporary English Version of Joel 3
At that time I, the LORD, will make Judah and Jerusalem prosperous again.
Then in Judgment Valley
I will bring together the nations that scattered my people Israel everywhere in the world, and I will bring charges against those nations. They divided up my land...

Obama To Roll Out His Vision For Middle East

Obama To Roll Out His Vision For Middle East

This article explains how Obama is waiting for Netanyahu (to be sworn in?) so he can roll out his vision for the Middle East. Ten people helped create this plan, it includes final status issues such as Jerusalem being the capital of Israel and Palestine.

Somehow I can't picture Netanyahu sharing Obama's vision.

Article here

While aides to Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak were busy formulating the coalition agreement and dividing up ministerial portfolios, Barack Obama's men were working on a bipartisan document and burrowed through files.

The document they produced is waiting for the new Israeli government to be sworn in. The American president is due to use it as the basis of a special speech in which he will present his vision for the Middle East.

Of prime importance among the files on the desks of those who composed the document is a report drawn up at the end of 2008 by 10 senior figures from the two principal political parties in the United States.

One of them, former Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker, has in the interim been appointed a senior economic adviser to the president.

The authors of that report recommended to the president that he replace "the conditions of the Quartet" with a readiness to recognize a Palestinian unity government, on condition that that government would agree to a cease-fire with Israel, authorize Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas to conduct negotiations on a final-status solution, and bring the agreement to a referendum. Since Netanyahu refuses to accept the principle of a Palestinian state being established alongside Israel, he would have some difficulty complaining about the U.S. relieving Hamas of the same demand.

The report's authors proposed that the president adopt the following positions with regard to the components of a final-status agreement: an Israeli withdrawal to the 1967 borders, with the exception of large settlement blocs; Jerusalem being the capital of both Israel and Palestine, and divided on a demographic basis; adoption of a special regime in the Old City; the rehabilitation of refugees within the Palestinian state, with Israel accepting a degree of responsibility for the problem; and the stationing of a multinational force in the territories during an interim period.

The Vatican's True Intentions in Jerusalem

Various news agencies and journalists have been following plans for the coming visit of Pope Benedict to Israel. Because of the prophetic significance of these matters, we have included in this issue an article by journalist Ron Fraser who has been following closely the Vatican agenda as it relates to Israel and the city of Jerusalem.

"Now, as Benedict XVI prepares for his upcoming visit to Israel, the Palestinian territories and Jordan this May, a tour incorporating his first visit to Israel since being elected pope. It is crucial that the Vatican agenda for the city of Jerusalem be publicized.

Back in the mid-1990s, a statement made by Pope John Paul II during an interview in his native Poland, broadcast in Italian over a Polish radio station, was noted by one of our Italian associates. She sent us a transcript of the interview, which included one particularly startling reference made by the pope regarding the Vatican's ultimate goal of transferring its headquarters from Rome to Jerusalem.

What was unusual about this admission of John Paul II is that the Vatican's intentions to possess Jerusalem are seldom publicized and little commented on. In fact, an air of secrecy, something that the Vatican has a history of creating over various of its affairs over the centuries, has surrounded this project since the failure of the Crusades, the most obvious of the overt and now very historical attempts by the Vatican to seize control of the Holy City. Those attempts have a long history with strong attachments to the German nation, right up to the past two world wars, and beyond to our present day.

As far back as the eighth century AD, emissaries were sent to Jerusalem by Emperor Charlemagne to negotiate an agreement with the Muslim Caliph Haroun al-Raschid. The result was that Jerusalem became a protectorate of the Holy Roman Empire.

Historical records indicate that such a protectorate was limited to the oversight of the welfare of Christians, the care and protection of designated holy sites, and the properties of the Roman Catholic Church in Jerusalem. The fact that the Caliph would be a financial beneficiary to this enterprise was a given. Muslim support of the Kaiser's army in World War I, and again of the Nazi regime in World War II, was the end result of a long historical nexus between the Muslims and Germany.

From the time of the Charlemagne/Haroun pact, through the attempt by Kaiser Wilhelm to seize Jerusalem in World War I to this day, elements within Germany have historically viewed themselves as protectors of the Roman Catholic Church. From the time of the failure of the great crusades, German elites have worked to find ways and means of seizing the plum job of protector of Jerusalem.

Recently, courtesy of the actions of Germany's Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Germany has aggressively stepped up its diplomacy in the Middle East. This action comes in advance of the upcoming visit by a German pontiff, Josef Ratzinger, under his adopted papal name Benedict XVI, to Jerusalem.

Both Vatican and German diplomacy in Israel are linked to a common end: possession of the Old City of Jerusalem, as well as most of the eastern half of the city. The Jews are the pawns in this grand game of international diplomacy, the Palestinians the all-too-willing grunts on the ground eager to facilitate the division of Jerusalem and the annihilation of the State of Israel in the process.

The Vatican already has a significant presence in Jerusalem by virtue of free access to its holy sites over which Rome has legal jurisdiction, under Israeli law, including both its institutions and assets in Jerusalem. The consolidation of these arrangements came by virtue of a bilateral agreement termed "The Fundamental Agreement Between the Holy See and the State of Israel," which the Israeli government signed with the Vatican on Dec. 30, 1993.

The terms of this agreement, composed in secret, were subsequently legislated by the Israeli parliament, the Knesset. What remains largely unknown is the secret deal done by current Israeli President Shimon Peres and the leftist peacenik, former Meretz party member Yossi Beilin, known widely as "Peres's poodle."

Six months after the signing of the bilateral agreement between Israel and the Vatican, on June 15, 1994, the Israeli government inked a further agreement with the Vatican endorsing the Roman Catholic Church's participation in negotiations to determine the future of Jerusalem. This was followed in February 1996 by Secretary General of the Vatican Serge Sebastian announcing that Rome recognizes Palestinian sovereignty over East Jerusalem. The Vatican had thus revealed its hand.

From here Rome was to go on to actively work through its proxies in the "peace process" to exploit Palestinian claims as a means of splitting the city of Jerusalem asunder, seizing the Old City and possessing East Jerusalem. This involved the management of Palestinian aggression as part of the process, regardless of the suffering and loss of life that it would inevitably incur. This would in fact be a vital part of the initiative to take East Jerusalem by force in the event of the failure of diplomatic means.

The same tactic had been instigated by Germany and Rome in the Balkan Peninsula to achieve a desired result with implicit UN agreement, with the Serbs becoming the pariah in the world's view. This time, it's the Jews who are being pilloried, in particular since the Gaza incursion, in the lead-up to a similar result as that in Kosovo: the seizure of iconic territory to be placed under the influence of Berlin and Rome with the willing acquiescence of the United Nations.

Journalist Joel Bainerman, a well-known commentator on Israeli affairs, claims, "The end goal of the Vatican is to seize control of the Old City of Jerusalem out of the clutches of the State of Israel. To that end they have a secret agreement with Israel which obliges Israel to respect the 'extraterritorial' claim to their physical presence in the city. In short, we have accepted the Vatican's rights to have little Vatican sovereign embassies throughout our eternal capital of Jerusalem. That same Vatican has committed itself, in public and in a written agreement, to ensure that the Palestinians have sovereignty in the Old City of Jerusalem."

EDITOR'S NOTE: The last three chapters of Zechariah center upon the future significance of Jerusalem, and this planned visit of the Pope to Israel this coming May should cause all Bible believers to take notice of how events in our world at the present time are moving rapidly toward the Bible's predictions.

Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of Man
cometh at an hour you think not.

America 'Moves Towards Abandonment of Israel'

America 'Moves Towards Abandonment of Israel'
IsraelNN Staff - Mar 26, 2009

(IsraelNN.com) An unnamed former highly-placed U.S.intelligence official has broken silence and says that America may soon be abandoning Israel in favor of the Arabs. “This is just the beginning”, he said, "Israel could be about to lose the support of the United States."

The source made these remarks in an exclusive interview with Douglas J. Hagmann, the director of the Northeast Intelligence Network (NIN), which is comprised of veteran licensed professional investigators, analysts, military affairs specialists and researchers. The group has combined their resources to provide accurate and well-sourced information via their website.

When questioned about the possible abandonment of Israel by America, Hagmann told Yonah, "The Obama administration is no friend to Israel, is no friend to the Jews in America and is no friend to democracy or freedom in America. …Just by his very appointments, we can see him filling positions of power with people who are anti-Semitic, who want to see Israel essentially dissolved as a nation, if not by diplomacy, then certainly by war."

In his report, the unnamed intelligence source told Hagmann, “I have every reason to believe, based on what I’ve seen at my level of [security] clearance especially over the last several years, that Israel will soon be completely on their own… or worse.” He explained this would happen “when our administration provides more support to Arab countries [with] financial and military aid, undercutting Israel’s defense efforts all while pushing Israel to succumb to the pressure of unreasonable demands designed to end with their political annihilation as a nation.”
Hagmann reports that "the Middle East will be the site of `the coming war,` and Israel will be at its epicenter. If we survive as a nation, the U.S. will not be on the side of righteousness in this war, instead turning our back to - or our guns against - our only true friend in the Middle East - Israel," he said.

Israel Tests Iron Dome System

Israel Successfully Tests 'Iron Dome' Interception System
03.27 2009

*The Defense Ministry announced on Thursday evening that it had carried out a variety of tests on the "Iron Dome" rocket interception system over the last few days. Defense officials described the tests as successful, adding that the creation of a timetable for the system's installation in the South was in the process.

A Grad-type rocket was successfully intercepted during the tests. Moreover, the tests included the location and uncovering of rockets fired from the Gaza Strip, as well as live testing of arms supervision systems against real missiles.

A new battalion responsible for operating the "Iron Dome" will be created in the airforce once the system becomes operational in the coming weeks.

Defense officials said that the results of the tests reinforced research and simulations that were done in preparation, adding that the tests signaled an important stepping stone in the system's ability to meet the scheduled time for its use.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
— Psalm 91:5-7

In January, Israel used Operation Cast Lead to help perfect the interception system. Weapons-development teams had been posted outside Gaza to track the hundreds of rockets fired by terrorists during the three-week offensive against Hamas.

Russian Roulette

Russian Roulette
from Jan Markell Olive Tree Ministries

Russia has an evil intent, and she is going to be seriously wounded when she perpetrates it. Russia is regaining her old aggressiveness and brutality. White House correspondent Bill Koenig and I discussed it on air Saturday, March 21, on my live broadcast. We know this for sure: The Russian invasion of Israel has not yet happened. It is a future event but we don't know how future. It is often called the Gog-Magog War. According to Josephus, the ancient Scythians inhabited the land of Magog that is now Russia.

Here's what else we know from Ezekiel 38. Many Islamic nations will participate (verse 5). It is in the "latter days" (verses 8 and 16). Israel is "living securely" (verse 8). A major motive will be to seize Israel's wealth (verse 12). Many nations will object but will not get involved (verse 13). God is angry because forces are invading His land (verse 16). God raises severe judgment on the invaders (verse 22). Many nations are awed at this and recognize that He is Lord (verse 23).

The scenario in chapter 39 states that the devastation of the enemy will be great (verse 4). God will send fire upon the lands of some of those involved in this invasion of Israel (verse 6). God's holy name is made known in Israel, and they will know He is the Holy One of Israel (verse 7). Israel will burn weapons for seven years, which may indicate this is a Tribulation war (verse 9). Russia and her allies will be buried in Israel for seven months (verse 12). Israel will know that the Lord God of Israel orchestrated this. His glory is set among the nations and in Israel (verse 21). Israel will have some kind of spiritual awakening (verse 22). God will not hide His face from them any longer for He will pour out His Spirit on the house of Israel (verse 29). This should not be confused with "all Israel saved" at the Second Coming.

Since Bible prophecy is in a fast-forward mode, we need to be paying attention to major events taking place. One of the issues that those with their eye on the sky have wondered about is what is the wealth Israel possesses that is so vital that Gog (Russia) and her allies are willing to invade Israel to seize it. A story many seem to think significant is the fact that Israel has just discovered five trillion feet of natural gas off the shore of Haifa. And that is just for starters. It is believed there is much more soon to be tapped into, as well as oil not yet discovered in various parts of the country. Oil may be a speculation but the natural gas is a reality.

Russia needs natural gas! That was, in part, her reason for invading the former Soviet state of Georgia. Additionally, Russia is building seaports in Syria and Libya. Libya is one of the participants in this forthcoming war. Another participant -- Turkey -- is now more aligned with Russia than ever before. A primary participant in the Gog-Magog war is Iran who is always strengthening her ties with Russia.

As for other items of wealth or a "spoil" in Israel, we should include her Dead Sea assets and technological wealth. But it is the natural gas find that everyone should keep an eye on. This was the missing piece of the puzzle! And hardly anyone is paying attention to it. The media just says this will be a great asset for Israel as they are clueless about the Ezekiel 38-39 passage and how this find might apply to biblical prophecy.

Returning to the theme of the rapid escalation of events today, Dr. Thomas Ice says, "Things are moving so fast in the last six months that stage-setting events are happening at a speed no one person can keep up with. Prophecy is on fast-forward!"

Dr. Ice also says, "God's plan for history always moves forward in relation to what He is doing with Israel. Thus, the fact that Israel has been and continues to be reconstituted as a nation is prophetically significant, so significant that it makes Israel God's 'super-sign' of the end-times. Were Israel not a nation again it would be impossible for events of the end-time to occur since so many of them take place in that tiny country or in reference to her. But she has returned and so it is that all other aspects of Bible prophecy are also being prepared for the grand finale of history."

Yes, it is a tragedy that the church today does not care about this topic, but the Bible predicted scoffers near the end (II Peter 3:4). Too bad much of the scoffing is coming from church pulpits. And it grieves many of us that once-solid denominations and churches now embrace Replacement Theology that says the church is the new Israel. Nonetheless, in this dark day, keep looking up -- even if you get a stiff neck. Keep listening for the sound of a glorious trumpet! Stage-setting signs have never been so prolific! Not everyone has this blessed hope!

Eye Hath Not Seen... OT and NT Promise

While the world around us crumbles, we have this hope within us, and it comes from the same promise given to Isaiah for his people...reiterated by the Apostle Paul for believers:

From the Old Testament to the nation of Israel:
"For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him" (Isaiah 64:4).

From the New Testament to the grafted in Body of Christ:
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." (1 Corinthians 2:9)

"Esther saved the Jewish people from the slaughter planned by the Persian official named Haman. The Biblical story of Esther took place in the ancient land of Persia, part of which is present day Iran, and which included part of present-day Afghanistan.
History, it seems, is repeating itself. Once again an evil official in modern Persia proclaims the destruction of every Jew (and every Christian.) " ~Bodie

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the God of Israel. He is the one who promised the nation of Israel will be like the sand of the sea shore. On the exact holiday of Purim, the Lord spoke His reminder of that Biblical Covenant promise loud and clear to the followers of Islam of the Persian Gulf who vow to put an end to Israel. They will not succeed in destroying Israel!

Isn't this amazing! Persia is paralyzed on Purim by the mighty winds and the sand! Everything means something!

Durban II singles out Israel for racial injustice

Update March 10th:
These countries are protesting and pulling out of the conference:
United Kingdom
United States

The transcripts for the Durban II text again attacks Israel and no other nation, as it did in the original conference in 2001.

France and the Netherlands threatening to boycot, asking the EU to follow suit.

“I am deeply disturbed by the turn this event is taking,” Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen said on Tuesday in a speech before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. “The way in which the preparatory process for this conference has been proceeding suggests that it is unlikely to be a useful exercise.”

Hillel Neuer, executive director of the Geneva-based UN Watch, said this to the Jerusalem Post:
“Every EU state has a moral obligation to follow the example set today by Dutch Foreign Minister Verhagen and to explain how the Durban process constitutes an assault on the true principles of human rights and anti-racism."

At a large dinner hosted by the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF) in Paris, French Prime Minister Francois Filion stated that his country would withdraw if changes were not made to the draft text with regard to Israel.

Three countries, Israel, the US and Canada have refused to attend.

Apostolic Manifesto by Art Katz

Excerpts from Art, who was a Messianic Jew:
Israel’s restoration is the issue of the King and His Kingdom. God is not restoring them because they deserve a homeland after long centuries in the Diaspora, but their restoration is the coming of the King so that “law might go forth out of Zion, and the word of the Lord out of a Jerusalem” (Isa. 2:3), a redeemed and restored nation. That is why the powers of darkness will be in such a fit and frenzy of opposition to anything that pertains to Jewish rescue, salvation, and redemption in the last days.

The issue of Jewish restoration is the issue of the Kingdom of God, and the powers of darkness are the false usurping rulers of this world and do not want to relinquish and forsake that usurping activity, which they have enjoyed in an unchecked and uncontested way since ages millennia. It is the coming of the King as the One seated on the throne of David in the holy hill of Zion, with the redeemed and restored Israel that marks their end. We need to know this final drama, or we will not understand the frenzy and the rage that will be poured out upon Jews in the last days. The powers of darkness, in their corrupt and perverse wisdom, recognize that the only way to avert the threat to their false rule is by annihilating the Jews, whose return would terminate them.

The “time of Jacob’s trouble” that concludes the age and brings Israel’s King and His rule over the nations will be a time of sifting and chastening. The church must recognize and accept the ultimate requirements of such a task and willfully adopt the coming times as central or primary to its whole purpose for being. We must consciously be aware and take hold of these tasks for ourselves, willfully. You do not come to this through osmosis. We need to recognize what these last days mean as they pertain to the people of Israel, as well as the role and function of the church toward this people. In fact, the eternal destiny of men is determined by what we will do with the “least of these My brethren” (Mt. 25:40). The Jew will be “least” in those days. The most celebrated and prosperous of Jews, who are currently riding the crest of the world’s wave, will find themselves with only a shirt on their backs and cast out into the nations in the most desolate and deprived condition.

We have to lay hold of this prophetic understanding and then determine that we choose to be a factor in their deliverance in that time. That one choice, that one conscious deliberation, that one taking of that mandate to ourselves, has the potential to transfigure the church. Every aspect of the faith is brought into a new kind of perception, a depth of awareness, and a new reality, once this central key is fitted into the church’s consciousness as the primary purpose for its being. Anything that has to do with any subtlety of any anti-Jewish, anti-Semitic residue, of which we think we might be free, will be flushed to the surface. There is a flushing out, a depth and intensity of the work of God in the sanctification of the body. In Ezekiel 20, God tells Israel, “I will meet with you in the wilderness of the nations, face to face. And there you will come into the bond of My covenant and under the rod of My authority.”

Something happens to a remnant of Jews in the last days’ final sifting that is the factor by which they return to Zion as the “redeemed of the Lord,” with everlasting joy upon their heads and mourning and sighing fleeing away. There will be no return at all unless there is a church in the earth that already anticipates this and is preparing itself to be the salvific agent of God for this distressed people in a soon-coming time; for when it comes, it will come suddenly. This perspective needs to be central to our whole purpose and being. Therefore, we need the strategic direction of God, which is obtained through the operation of the Spirit through trusted members in the body, whose prophecies are not some kind of soulish exercise or drawing of attention to themselves, but a trusted expression of God’s wisdom and will in a critical moment of decision.

Note: I don't endorse all that Art Katz says in his writings, simply because I'm not qualified to judge all of his views...but I wholeheartedly agree with him on this. And we see now that many churches are pulling away their support of Israel... I find that more interesting as the days go by!

What Wise Men See....

Shabbat - February 27, 2009
Bodie Thoene

“The heavens declare the glory of God…” Psalm 19:1

Tonight the Lord spoke clearly in the heavens of His great love for Israel. Looking to the west just after sunset, in the constellation of Pisces, the Two Fish, the thin smile of a new moon and Venus shone brightly in the sky.
What does a constellation of two fish have to do with God’s Word?

Everything means something.
The constellation of the Two Fish (Pisces) has represented the nation of Israel since the day when old Jacob blessed the two sons of Joseph in Genesis 48: 15-21.
In this passage, Jacob, whose name had been changed by God to “Israel,” pronounced his dying blessing on Ephraim and Manasseh, “May they be called by my name (Israel) and may they increase greatly (Hebrew says, ‘like fish’) upon the earth.”

From that day on the starry symbol of Israel was the sign of two FISH. Later, the sign of the Fish also represented Christians of many nations.

And what about the faint sliver of the New Moon? The moon is called Kodesh, and represents the Holy Spirit.
The shining gem of Venus in called in Hebrew, NOGAH, and represents the Splendor of the Lord.

This is the Hebrew month of Adar. The Torah portion (Parasha) is from Exodus 25, and tells the story of the building of the Tabernacle.

This is the word of the Lord to Israel on this Shabbat:
“Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell within them.” Exodus 25:8

In this passage, the Lord did not promise to dwell IN the Tabernacle after it was built. He declared that his Holy Spirit would dwell AMONG the people of Israel. The accurate Hebrew translation of Exodus 25:8, says the Lord will dwell WITHIN the hearts of His people, Israel.

Tonight He proclaimed this promise again to His beloved people.

Within the constellation of the two fish - Israel…
The moon, Kodesh, as symbol of the Holy Spirit…
The planet Venus, Nogah, as symbol of God’s Glory.

Look up and see plainly the written message the heavens have declared!
The Shekinah Glory of the Lord’s Holy Spirit will dwell within the hearts of Israel.

Look up. Expect a miracle. The Revival has begun.

Blessings in Jesus’ Name!
