Washington, April 29 – Egypt plans to open its border with Gaza on a permanent basis, allowing in people and goods through Rafah without supervision by Israeli authorities, Foreign Minister Nabil al-Arabi said Friday. The decision could mean serious security problems for Israel because of the increased ease of transporting weapons into Gaza, which has been under the control of Iran-backed Hamas.

The announcement came two days after Hamas and Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party reached a tentative power-sharing agreement to be signed next week in Cairo. The deal was brokered by Egypt, and an Egyptian team is expected to travel to Gaza to help implement it.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Menha Barkhoum said details of the Rafah opening were still being hammered out but that “We’ll open the crossing point for individuals in a continuous way.”

The reason for opening the border, al-Arabi said, was to decrease suffering on the part of people living in Gaza, despite a statement just days ago by the deputy head of the Red Cross in Gaza that there is NO humanitarian crisis in the area.

Hamas has ruled Gaza since 2007, when it took control of the area in a bloody coup against Fatah. Hamas called for opening the Rafah border on Feb. 11, a day after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak left office.

Egypt’s al-Arabi also said recently that Egypt wants to “open a new page” with Iran, renewing full diplomatic relations which ended with Iran’s 1979 revolution. In turn, Iran has said it wants “further expansion of relations” with Egypt, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said.

A senior Israeli official expressed concern over Egypt’s decision to open Rafah and exclude Israel from monitoring the border. The Israeli official said Hamas already has used northern Sinai to build “a dangerous military machine.” A newly porous Rafah border would help Hamas bolster its anti-Israel weaponry. "What power could they amass if Egypt was no longer acting to prevent that build up?" the official said.

In the past, Egyptian security worked closely with Israel to control the border. Now, Hamas official Ghazi Hamad, reportedly said that Egypt “will allow up to 300 people from the Gaza Strip to exit each day."

Hamas’ charter calls for destroying Israel and killing all Jews. Article seven of the charter states, “Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! …there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!”

Since January, Hamas and other terrorist groups have fired 328 rockets, missiles and mortars at Israel. Earlier this month, Hamas targeted a children’s school bus, hitting the vehicle with an anti-tank missile and resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy.

This is the recorded Word of the Lord against Egypt and Syria. With Egypt's amassed power and might, the only way for Israel to defeat Egypt and fulfill prophesy, would be to take out the Aswan Dam, located near the ancient city of Syene. However, let’s not forget that in one of late President Sadat’s memoirs written in 1970, before Nasser’s death and while the dam was nearing its completion, Nasser himself said that Egypt can no longer embark on wars, as it will be vulnerable to an attack on a venture that would ruin the whole of Egypt if destroyed."

The only way for Israel to defeat Syria would be to take out the city of Damascus. We are living in the Last Days, and we need to be in constant prayer!

Israel Prepares for Islamic Terror State Rising From Egypt's Ashes

Israel is bracing for the establishment of an Iranian proxy-state in Egypt should the Muslim Brotherhood take over control of the government, as appears increasingly likely.

With the White House now giving full-throated support to the Muslim Brotherhood, and Egyptian Vice President Omar Suleiman scheduled to meet with the Muslim Brotherhood leadership in Cairo, Israel is preparing for the worst.

After years of ducking from Iranian-supplied Kassam rockets from Gaza, Israelis now fear their cities and towns could get hit with the full brunt of the Iranian arsenal as Iran replaces the United States as Egypt’s main arms supplier.

Such a scenario would be a catastrophic conclusion of the 1978 Camp David peace accord between Egypt and Israel that has cost U.S. taxpayers $63.7 billion in aid to Egypt alone, according to the Congressional Research Service.

Israelis fear that Egypt could become “part of the Iranian pact in the Middle East along with Hamas, Hezbollah, and all the other thugs,” said Mordechai Kedar, a former Israeli military intelligence analyst now with the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar Ilan University in Israel.

A Muslim Brotherhood takeover could lead to the imposition of Shariah, with far-reaching implications for the rights of women, Christians and minorities, and dramatic changes in Egypt’s relationships to its neighbors.

“They will cut relations with Israel immediately. Maybe they will capture some Israelis as happened in Tehran with the American embassy those days in 1979,” Kedar told Newsmax by telephone from Israel. “That is the bad scenario.”

Muslim Brotherhood: ‘Prepare Egyptians for war with Israel'

A leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt told the Arabic-language Iranian news network Al-Alam on Monday that he would like to see the Egyptian people prepare for war against Israel, according to the Hebrew-language business newspaper Calcalist.

Muhammad Ghannem reportedly told Al- Alam that the Suez Canal should be closed immediately, and that the flow of gas from Egypt to Israel should cease “in order to bring about the downfall of the Mubarak regime.” He added that “the people should be prepared for war against Israel,” saying the world should understand that “the Egyptian people are prepared for anything to get rid of this regime.”

Ghannem praised Egyptian soldiers deployed by President Hosni Mubarak to Egyptian cities, saying they “would not kill their brothers.” He added that Washington was forced to abandon plans to help Mubarak stay in power after “seeing millions head for the streets.”

Mubarak hasn’t even been overthrown yet and already the radicals are calling for Egypt to declare war on Israel. That is all Israel needs...another country joining with others enraged toward her destruction. Israel is surrounded on all sides, and has no allies in the world who would support that tiny nation.

These are the days when the Bible is its own best commentary. Imagine Isaiah the prophet standing on the streets of Cairo today speaking in front of a mainstream news camera declaring:

The burden against Egypt. Behold, the LORD rides on a swift cloud, And will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst. “I will set Egyptians against Egyptians; Everyone will fight against his brother, And everyone against his neighbor, City against city, kingdom against kingdom. The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst; I will destroy their counsel, And they will consult the idols and the charmers, The mediums and the sorcerers. Like a swift moving cloud, Isaiah predicts the rapid deterioration of events in Egypt. Civil unrest causes Egyptians to fight against each other. This fighting spreads from household to household and grows into a kingdom war. Probably quoting Isaiah 19:2, Christ warned kingdoms would rise against each other in Matthew 24:7. Unlike nation coming against nation, which alludes to world wars, “kingdom against kingdom” refers to regional conflicts. Christ taught these prophecies would come upon the world like birth pains. Like a woman about to deliver her newborn, these events are foretold to come with increased frequency and intensity each building upon the other.

Rumors of regional kingdom wars presently abound in the Middle East. Egypt and Saudi Arabia reportedly conducted joint military exercises in 2010 preparing for a possible confrontation with Iran. Iran represents the Persian kingdom and Egypt and Saudi Arabia the Arab kingdom. Additionally, the apocalyptically minded president Ahmadinejad of Iran has threatened on several occasions to wipe Israel, representing the Jewish kingdom, off of the map.

Psalm 83 predicts the Arab kingdom will someday rise against the Jewish kingdom to banish the name of Israel forever. Both Egypt and Saudi Arabia along with eight other Arab populations join the Arab kingdom in this pending prophetic war.

Isaiah’s prognosis for Egypt worsens as you read the rest of his chapter nineteen. Isaiah 19:5-12 tells us unprecedented religious and economic strife plagues the nation according to the purposes of the Lord. Apparently, this disastrous condition befalls Egypt because of its future involvement in Psalm 83 since we read in Isaiah 19:16-18 that Israel will take over five cities in Egypt and cause Hebrew to be the spoken language inside their city limits. One of these cities will be called “the City of Destruction,” implying the I.D.F. destroys this city.

In that day Egypt will be like women, and will be afraid and fear because of the waving of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which He waves over it. And the land of Judah will be a terror to Egypt; everyone who makes mention of it will be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts which He has determined against it. In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear by the LORD of hosts; one will be called the City of Destruction. (Isaiah 19:16-18, nkjv)

Will the civil strife developing in Egypt cause the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak, who supposedly has cancer and turns 83 on May 4, 2011? Many expected his son Gamal Mubarak to be his replacement; however, Gamal and his family have reportedly fled to the U.K. for safety. If the Mubarak government is overthrown will the Muslim Brotherhood fill his office with one of its own fulfilling Isaiah 19:4? The Muslim Brotherhood, presently banned in Egypt, hates Israel and supports Jihad against the Jewish State. Hamas, also participating against Israel in Psalm 83, is their political arm inside of the Gaza. Hamas, like the Muslim Brotherhood, calls for the destruction of Israel.

Will the present protests inside Egypt metastasize into the fulfillment of Isaiah 19? If so will the coming cruel leader be the one who leads Egypt into the Psalm 83:6-8 confederacy? All of this is unknown but entirely possible. One thing is for certain; the Middle East appears to be on the verge of going apocalyptic.

January 2011 has seen the governments of Lebanon, Tunisia, and Egypt become severely challenged. The government of Jordan is expected to be next. Lebanon, Egypt, and Jordan are involved in Psalm 83 and Tunisia appears to take part in the Ezekiel 38 & 39 prophecy. It appears high time Christians familiarize themselves with the prophecies of Isaiah 19, Isaiah 17, Jeremiah 49, Psalm 83, and Ezekiel 38 & 39. These are a few of the world changing prophecies stage setting on the prophetic horizon.

This is the theme that which is repeated over and over again in the very Book the Jewish people were a channel for giving to the world; yet they themselves are so woefully ignorant of this lesson.
Here is one such passage:
And Elisha said to him, "Take a bow and some arrows." So he took himself a bow and some arrows.  Then he said to the king of Israel, "Put your hand on the bow." So he put his hand on it, and Elisha put his hands on the king's hands.And he said, "Open the east window"; and he opened it. Then Elisha said, "Shoot"; and he shot. While Christians are taught, in relation to personal life, to turn the other cheek and to pray for their enemies, the same Scriptures they hold dear also teach that 'government does not bear the sword in vain,' and under God Himself every honorable government has the national duty to defend and protect, in the best possible way, the citizens entrusted to their care. This of course is also true in relation to the government of Israel, surrounded on all sides - as it is today - by fierce and deadly enemies intent on her final destruction.
In the former building of Yad Vashem, commemorating the victims of the dreadful Holocaust of the Jewish people, who perished under the Nazis often with the willful compliance of many of the virulent anti-Semites in the countries in which they perpetrated their monstrous act, a photograph was exhibited of the cordial meeting in Berlin between the Fuhrer and the then leader of the Palestinian people: the Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini of Jerusalem. For those who have the willingness to see and comprehend - this picture says it all.

A deep, deep hatred for the Jewish people existed in the Muslim Palestinian leadership long years before the Jews had their independent state. It is not for nothing that Muslim children often reveal what they have learned and believe from their superiors to be their ultimate aim and fervent desire, when during wars with Israel they sing: "First we will kill the Saturday people (= the Jews), and then we will kill the Sunday people (= the Christians)."
To varying degrees, each Muslim-controlled nation shares this dream and desire - NOT a dream, like that nurtured by so many, many Israelis, for a peaceful coexistence with their former enemies, but a dream wherein the Muslim Middle East will one day be free of the cancerous growth called Israel. That is the goal for which most of the Muslim nations, if not all, have been striving and still strive today!
Every honest observer and student of history can learn this disturbing reality from what follows. Though many may, at first, be unwilling to come to grips with it - there is after all not so much difference between what the Nazis wanted - the excising of the Jewish cancer in their midst - and what the majority of today's ferocious enemies of Israel aspire to: the dissolution of the hated Jewish state in their Muslim midst!"

Egypt Warns Of Iranian Maneuvers & Tehran Cozies Up To Cairo

(IsraelNN.com) Egypt has issued a warning about Iran's growing potential to change the balance of power in the Middle East. Cairo's suspicions are based on an estimate of the Iranian regime's intentions to spread its Islamic Revolution to Shi'ite and Sunni states and communities in the region -- including those in Egypt.

The concern was discussed at a conference held at the Center for International Political Studies in Cairo late last month, at which experts evaluated the entire Iranian strategic threat to the region.

Participants emphasized the need to maintain tight surveillance on Iranian operations in the East Horn of Africa and their impact on the strategic security interests of countries in the region, especially Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and the Gulf states.

Egyptian General Ahmed Fakhr, head of the political studies center, called on the Arab world to work together to thwart Iranian activities in the Horn of Africa and its direct threat to Cairo. Fakhr said the Iranian operations poses a challenge to Egypt and to other countries in the region.

Muhamad Abas Naji, an expert on Iranian affairs in the Strategic Research Center of Ah-Ahram University, noted that Iran is striving to create a presence in the region. Such a move, he said, will reduce pressure on the Islamic Republic as the country moves its forces around in the Middle East, in order to avert an American or Israeli attack. He also explained that the Iranian activities are being carried out by companies and associations that represent the economic arm of the Islamic Republic.  Financial institutions that support social services also spread spiritual messages by funding Shi'ite religious centers, he said.

Even as Egypt raises the red flag about Iran's growing strength in the region, however, the Islamic Republic is moving to allay Cairo's fears.

Iran Cozies Up to Egypt?

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki invited his Egyptian counterpart, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, to pay a visit to Tehran to discuss bilateral ties between the two countries.  According to the Iranian Fars news agency, Mottaki issued the invitation Saturday during a meeting with the newly appointed head of Egypt's Interest Section in Tehran, Alaedin Hassan Yousef.

Mottaki was quoted by the state-run news agency as saying that Tehran-Cairo deliberations would favor regional nations. He noted that Aboul Gheit was the foreign minister of the nation presiding over the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which he noted is expected to have a mounting role in international issues.

Iran attempted to solicit the support of NAM nations in its bid to win a rotating seat on the United Nations Security Council last year.

The 118-member nation NAM is an international organization of countries that consider themselves not formally aigned with or against any major power bloc. The group comprises nearly two-thirds of the United Nations's membership and some 55 percent of the world's population, primarily those of the third world and developing nations.

The Iranian foreign minister expressed his hope that Iran and Egypt could together take steps "in favor of Islamic countries under mutual understanding," according to Fars.

Disgraceful Iran Policy

US Vice President Joe Biden recently said in a pre-taped interview with ABC’s George Stephanoupolos: “Look, Israel can determine for itself - it’s a sovereign nation - what’s in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else… What we believe is in the national interest of the United States, which we, coincidentally, believe is also in the interest of Israel and the whole world… Look, we cannot dictate to another sovereign nation what they can and cannot do.”

Does this mean that Obama’s administration has finally realized that Israel was right about Iran all along and that the policy of appeasement of Iran has gruesomely failed? Why has Israel suddenly become “a sovereign nation” facing no pressure from the United States and “coincidentally” with the same interests as the US “and the whole world?” Shouldn’t Israel be recognized as a sovereign country, as any other state is, without any special permission and dispensation from the US?

By now, the US administration and even many Muslim countries have realized that they need Israel to do the dirty work for them to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Later, without any doubt, they will vigorously deny their desire to subdue the Iranian nuclear ambition and will direct wild accusations at Israel over its aggression etc, just as they did after Israel curbed Iraq’s nuclear ambitions in 1981.

Biden’s statement was made after the election in Iran failed to produce a change in the political leadership, and after Iran’s president rejected any negotiations toward ending terminating the nuclear program. At the same time, he has intensified his verbal assaults and threats against Britain and the EU.

Damage control offensive
However, almost immediately after Biden’s remarks, we saw State Department Spokesman Ian Kelly embark on a damage control offensive, rebuffing suggestions that the vice president could be seen as giving the Jewish state a green light to attack Iran.

“I certainly would not want to give a green light to any kind of military action,” Kelly said, although he repeated Biden’s point that Washington considered Israel a “sovereign country” with a right to make its own military decisions. “I wouldn’t read into it any more than what you see... as I said, that we respect Israel’s sovereignty.”

Meanwhile, Egypt has vigorously denied that an Israeli submarine sailed through the Suez Canal last month, while Saudi Arabia has rejected reports that it agreed to permit Israeli fighter jets to use Saudi airspace en route to bombing Iran’s nuclear sites.

In the final analysis, while the US administration and some Muslim countries may be eager to see Israel striking at Iran’s nuclear program, President Obama and other players want to keep their hands clean by maintaining an ambiguous position on the prospect of an Iran strike. They believe this will allow them to rebuke and assault Israel politically after such attack. What a disgraceful double-flip hypocritical policy!
