My prayer for Israel and the Jewish people

Father, I pray that you would continue to bless Israel in a mighty way. I'm asking that you would form a shield of protection around your people, for her enemies have gathered all around seeking her destruction. Lord, You have promised in Your Word to defend, deliver, and hold Your people in the palm of Your hand. Give the leaders of Israel immeasurable wisdom against the enemy so that Your Name might be glorified. I pray, Lord, that You would open the eyes and soften the hearts of the Jewish people that they would see the true Messiah and turn to Him, as the time for deliverance is drawing short. In these perilous days I pray for the peace of Israel, the peace of Jerusalem, and peace within the hearts of the Jewish people. Father, I thank You, and give You all the praise, honor and glory in Jesus' precious Name. Amen!

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 KJV

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Will you please join with me today with your prayer for the support of Israel? As never before, we must storm the gates of heaven, now, praying without ceasing to Almighty God with our petitions for Israel - as Scripture commands of us.

i, too, have Jewish loved ones that i pray for who don't believe in JESUS as The MESSIAH -- and i continue to pray fervently for them. Yes, prayers and blessings to the nation of Israel.

Amen and Amen!! My prayer as well, Don...Thank you for posting it! Many are those who don't understand the higher purpose for Israel. They may be a stubborn, stiff-necked people who reject their Messiah, but God's Love is unconditional in this respect. After all of His chastisements, they WILL be restored! This is HIS Beloved Land and He promised, both as Father and as Son, to return to it. Jesus will reign from there, like it or not. He doesn't need anyone's approval...He is God!!!

Read again the message given in v18: "Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

"...comfort one another..." Today, so many people need comfort, assurance and a hope for the future. With all the trials and uncertainities of life that we all must face, our faith and trust must be firmly planted in the hands of the One who controls tomorrow. We must lean wholly on Jesus' name and His righteousness!

When we do that, we will have that comfort, assurance, and hope as written in Phil. 4:7. "And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
