To study this portion of Scripture, I researched online and found the following sites to contain valuable insights:
- Israelestine
- Psalm 83
- World and Church Trends and Biblical Prophecy
- Prophecy Puzzle
- The Fatalities of Psalm 83
- Rapture Ready
- Prophecy Depot
The names in Psalm 83 include:
- Assyria, joined with the sons of Lot; (Moab and Ammon)
- Moab, and the descendants of Abraham and Hagar.
- Ammon; Zebah, Zalmunna, Midianites.
- Edom, and the Ishmaelites, descendants of Abraham and Hagar, of Ishmael.
- Oreb, Zeeb, also Midianites; descendants of Abraham by Keturah. Midian allied with Amalek.
- Gebal, a coastal city of Philistia; the ancient Byblos, about 75 miles north of Tyre, on the coast of Lebanon.
- The Philistines, with Tyre; Sisera and Jabin; (Syro-Phoenician)
- Amalek, the city of Amalek was the border-fort on the Wadi El Arish. Saul did not kill the Amalekite king, Agag, as the LORD had commanded -- see 1 Samuel 15. Amalek was the "chief of the nations" of the land, per Balaam's prophecy, Num. 24:7, 20. These hateful people also date from Abraham's time. "But his latter end shall be that he perish forever."
Are you consumed with the cares of this world right now? Or are you sensing in your spirit that God is moving and that you need to stay in close relationship with Him. These are exciting times!! Don't miss them because you are caught up in the cares of your everyday life. I challenge you to take a deeper look into these End Times prophecies and compare them to Daniel and Revelation. We are in the LAST DAYS!!

This is an exciting topic, Mid! It could all begin tomorrow! Almost daily we see pieces of God's endtime plan falling into place exactly as He said it would. Yes - we are in the last days. Watch, pray, and keep looking up!
Psalm 83 portrays an attack on Israel by a coalition of Israel's immediate neighbors (listed here by their modern day names) consisting of Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Gaza, Saudi Arabia and Assyria (Syria and Iraq). The Bible clearly teaches that God will protect Israel against all such attacks in the end times (Zechariah 12:6 and Amos 9:15).
The outcome of this war most likely is detailed in Zephaniah 2:4-5. These verses indicate that the attacking nations will be devastated by Israel. It is during this war that Damascus, the capital of Syria, will probably be destroyed completely, never to be rebuilt again (Isaiah 17:1-14 and Jeremiah 49:23-27). The players of the Ps. 83 and Is. 17 war(s) involve Israel's nearby enemy neighbors who are not included in the Ezek. 38-39 war. After Israel destroys those neighbors and claims their land, Israel will be rich and living in a perceived peace.
It is then that the participants of the Ezek. 38-39 war come against Israel attempting to take (plunder) the spoils (gains from war) that Israel took from the Ps. 83 / Is. 17 war. Of course, we know God will destroy 5/6th of them. I believe Ezek. 38/39 will be the red horse/2nd seal of the trib. - and would likely follow soon after the 1st seal is opened, which is when the AC confirms a covenant promising on-going peace.
By the way, Ezekiel 38-39 is not Armageddon. The players, purpose, time frame, and outcome of Armageddon is much different. Armageddon is a campaign or a series of battles very near the end of the tribulation that culminate at the second coming of Christ.

"TRIBULATION INDEX" becomes "RAPTURE INDEX"
For 18 centuries all organized churches and all official Christian theology embraced the "Tribulation Index" (that is, the essence of it without using the label). In recent years a Nebraska "rustler" has been changing it into the "Rapture Index." For more info Google "The Rapture Index (Mad Theology)" and "Open Letter to Todd Strandberg." For some background on "rapture rustling" read "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty" on the "Powered by Christ Ministries" site. But, pardner, you'd better take some tranquilizers before you lasso any of the above items!
I'm not understanding your point...???
My article is about Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38-39. People can argue all they want about post-pre-or mid-rapture... MY point is: you better be ready for the signs point to Last Days being upon us!!!
I agree with Mid that the article is about Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38-39. Mid's point was that those signs and others all indicate the last days are here, and events will all happen exactly as God has ordained them. Time is short and we must be ready.
The only way we can be ready is to realize we are lost in sin, fall on our knees in humble submission and repentance, ask His forgiveness, and confess that He is Lord, Savior, and Master of our life. I reached out to receive Him into my life almost 55 years ago, and know without any doubt that "I am His, and He is mine."
By the way, nowhere in the original article, nor in my earlier comment, was the rapture or its timing ever mentioned. Many have their understanding concerning that subject, but thankfully, it's not a salvation dependent issue.

Thank you, Mike! I found your Scribd post interesting!

After studying both Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38, it has come to my attention from a born again Jewish Believer that the Psalm 83 *participants fulfilled Psalm 83 in 1948 and 1967 ~ *These are all the surrounding Nations listed there.
In Ezekiel 38, the Nations listed there have just recently coalesced, and included Russian, Turkey, Libya and Sudan. This has never happened before in all of history! We need to keep our eyes on Syria! February 11, 2018
