I'd like to delve deeper into the current interest in building the Third Temple in Jerusalem. Israel is God's timepiece for the last days. The Jews, who have a veil over their eyes of understanding concerning the Messiah, recognize the "signs" of our times. That should be a signal to us, as believers, to take notice of what's going on and try to understand it according to Scripture and not in light of man's view points or biased interpretations. To make myself clear on this, I am not inviting debate on the subject...I'm just making some observations in light of Ezekiel's third temple. Please don't be offended if I don't publish everyone's views on this. I understand there are different sides and interpretations...there always will be until Scripture proves Itself. What I find interesting is the fact that Torah-studying Jews think now is the time to build the third temple, which they believe will usher in the appearance of their "Messiah". I'm going to do some independant study, comparing scripture with scripture, devoid of other's interpretations of the matter and post what I come up with as food for thought.

A third Temple, called Tribulation Temple, will be built by unbelieving Jews in preparation for their Messiah at some time before the midpoint of the seven year tribulation period. (Dan. 9:27; Matt. 24:15,16; 2 Thess. 2:3,4; Rev. 11:1,2; all referencing that future Temple).
a) The above Thess. and Rev. Scriptures require a third future Temple, for this prophecy has not yet been fulfilled.
b) It's also called the Antichrist's Temple because he will defile it by setting up his image in the Holy of Holies. This blasphemous act is known as the "abomination of desolation", which will occur at the tribulation midpoint.
c) Today, the Jews have prepared the final construction plans, the furniture has been built, the robes prepared, etc,. and they are actively searching for a red heifer for sacrifice. Its construction could begin very soon.
