Israel's Dilemma with Iran's Nuclear Facilities/ Isaiah 17

Iran Tests Advanced Missiles, Threatens Israel
by Maayana Miskin Iran Fires off Missiles, Threats

Iran fired some of its most powerful missiles on Monday as the Revolutionary Guard concluded two days of war games. Among the missiles tested, according to Iranian state media, were the Shahab-3 and Sajjil.

Both missiles have a range of more than 1,000 miles, and are capable of hitting Israel, Europe, and United States military bases.

On Sunday, the Revolutionary Guard fired a number of short-range missiles. Military leaders said they had also tested a multiple missile launcher for the first time, and had successfully fired two missiles at once.

The announcement of the two-day war games, which began Sunday, was made at the same time as Iranian leaders admitted the existence of a covert uranium enrichment site. “Allah willing, this plant will be put into operation soon, and will blind the eyes of the enemies,” the Supreme Leader's Office said in an official announcement."  From Arutz Sheva

I just read an article about the options Israel has with regard to Iran.
  1. An airstrike, which would not do away with the nuclear facilities, and it would endanger Israeli pilots
  2. Using nuclear force, which would endanger Iran's civilian population
  3. Praying for a miracle
This is from Isaiah 17:1 "The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." I opt for a miracle from God, who prophesied Damascus' (Iran) destruction in more than one place in the Old Testament.

Whose Land Is It?

From the Golden Report by Jerry Golden

A Short History Lesson

You can go all the way back to the Stone Age and then forward through the Bronze and Iron Age on to the Israeli Conquests from 1,200 – 1,000 BC --  and you will not find in any of those times a "Palestinian" people.  Much less one that was in control of this land called the Holy Land.  You can then search the history books and see that from 1,000 BC up until 587 BC the Jews struggled among themselves over the land, yet stayed in control of it.  Afterward came the Persians then the Hellenists, and later,  the Hasmoneans.

Then came the Romans.  To shorten a long story, they had so much trouble with the Jews they ended up destroying everything Jewish that they  could find.  This  even included changing the name of the place from Israel to “Palestine”. That happened around 63 BC through 324 AD.  From that time forth everyone who lived here in this land were called "Palestinians". The Greeks, Persians, and even the Jews, were all called Palestinians.  Much the same as those who live in the USA are all called Americans.

After the Romans came the Byzantines, the Crusaders, the Mamluks, and the Ottoman’s. In 1917 came the British who stayed in control of Palestine until 1948.  During their stay in Palestine they even created a State for the Arabs (Palestinians) who lived here, it's called Jordan.  Then in May of 1948 God brought the Jews home, and ISRAEL BECAME A NATION ONCE AGAIN, Ezek. 37.

From 1948 until 1967 Egypt controlled the Gaza Strip and Jordan controlled the “so-called” West Bank, Samaria and Judea.  After the 1967 six day war this all changed, and Israel was once more in control of their mountains “Judea & Samaria” and more importantly their beloved Jerusalem.

However,  I am sure you know all of this.  I want to make this very clear to everyone;  there is one thing absent in all of the above.  At no time did the “Palestinians” have control of anything,  much less this land.  It is also interesting to note that during the time span 1948 –67 when Egypt and Jordan were in control,  there was never any talk of a Palestinian State.  So why is it so important now?  The answer is simple; it is JIHAD “A Holy War” - not a national one.  It is the war that has raged on for thousands of years between Ishmael and Isaac, the Arabs and the Jews.

To keep this report short, I will not continue further with the thought above; instead I will close with this;  The Palestinians cannot have their "State" back, because they never had one in the first place! This is yet another Islamic lie, and part of their desire to control or kill Jacob.  So when you hear them say the Jews are on Palestinian land, it is another of their lies.  But what is so amazing is that no one is questioning their right to say it.

This can't be reiterated enough!!! I hope people get it...Soon!

Apocalyptic Storm Forming over the MidEast

Interesting read from Joel Rosenberg about what is happening right now in the "Epicenter" of the World...
"Humanly speaking, war is coming. The West does not seem determined enough to stop Iran from getting the Bomb. So unless the Lord intervenes, Israel might soon feel compelled to launch a preemptive strike against Iran. It won’t be easy, and the entire region could go up in flames.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. So on this day of Yom Kippur, let us commit ourselves to prayer and fasting for the peace of Jerusalem and the physical and spiritual salvation of all of Israel and all of Iran."

Israel's Restoration

Where are the days of sighing,
crying for My Spirit’s touch?
A noise comes to My straining ears,
but I hear not the voice of My beloved.
She is lost in the sea of humanity,
her way is not clear, she is a barren tree,
and sees not her nakedness. She
shivers from the cold winds of change
and bends beneath its cares and anxiety,
longing for a peace she can't have
without Me.

So I will come to her with My cloak and
cover her shame with My love. I will
be a strong tower and lift her above
the tides of evil, and she will revive
and remove the veil that hides her eyes
of understanding. The One she has
rejected, she will embrace in tears.
She will go forth in a spirit of humility
and proclaim My Mercy and Grace
to a dying world--in need of Life.

Yom Kippur by Brock and Bodie Thoene

YOM KIPPUR—2009
by
Bodie and Brock Thoene

“If I have offended you in the past year, I humbly ask your forgiveness.”

Sunset tonight marks the beginning of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. It is the culmination of the Ten Days of Awe that began with Rosh Hashanah. Of all Jewish holy days, this is the most significant. There are only a handful of fasts in the Jewish religious calendar, but from sunset to sunset Yom Kippur is one. It represents a recognition of past failings and a opportunity to repent and atone for them…to ‘wipe the slate clean’….in preparation for the year ahead.

This is the one day of the year when the High Priest, the ‘Cohen Hagadol,’ entered behind the veil of the Holy of Holies to sprinkle blood on the Mercy Seat. The blood of the goat represented a ‘substitutionary sacrifice,’ and foreshadowed the atoning death of Jesus on the cross.

This is a holiday Yeshua knew well. Part of the Yom Kippur liturgy was and is the entire book of the Prophet Jonah. Read the scriptures for today aloud, and keep that fact in mind as you as picture the ceremony in the Temple of Jesus’ day.

Reading 1
Isaiah 53:4-9 (speaking of the Messiah who was to come)
"Yet it was our infirmities that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, While we thought of him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted. But he was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins. Upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by his stripes we were healed.
We had all gone astray like sheep, each following his own way; But the LORD laid upon him the guilt of us all.
Though he was harshly treated, he submitted and opened not his mouth; Like a lamb led to the slaughter or a sheep before the shearers, he was silent and opened not his mouth.
Oppressed and condemned, he was taken away, and who would have thought any more of his destiny? When he was cut off from the land of the living, and smitten for the sin of his people, a grave was assigned him among the wicked and a burial place with evildoers, though he had done no wrong nor spoken any falsehood."

Reading 2
I John 2:1,2
"My children, I am writing this to you so that you may not commit sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous one. He is expiation (ATONEMENT) for our sins, and not for our sins only but for those of the whole world."

Reading 3
Hebrews 4:14-16 (not just through the Temple veil, but ‘through the heavens’)
"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin. So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help."

Reading 4
Jonah 3:4-10
"Jonah began his journey through the city, and had gone but a single day's walk announcing, 'Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed,' when the people of Nineveh believed God; they proclaimed a fast and all of them, great and small, put on sackcloth. When the news reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in the ashes. Then he had this proclaimed throughout Nineveh, by decree of the king and his nobles: 'Neither man nor beast, neither cattle nor sheep, shall taste anything; they shall not eat, nor shall they drink water. Man and beast shall be covered with sackcloth and call loudly to God; every man shall turn from his evil way and from the violence he has in hand. Who knows, God may relent and forgive, and withhold his blazing wrath, so that we shall not perish.' When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way, he repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to them; he did not carry it out."

Reading 5
Matthew 12:38-41 (See how the Pharisees tried to change the subject from their hypocrisy and how Jesus brought the message back again to the absolute need for repentance and a rejection of self-righteousness)
(Jesus said:) "'Either declare the tree good and its fruit is good, or declare the tree rotten and its fruit is rotten, for a tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you say good things when you are evil? For from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks. A good person brings forth good out of a store of goodness, but an evil person brings forth evil out of a store of evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will render an account for every careless word they speak. By your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.' Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to him, 'Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.' He said to them in reply, 'An evil and unfaithful generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it except the sign of Jonah the prophet. Just as Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. At the judgment, the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and there is something greater than Jonah here.'"

Reading 6
II Chronicles 7:14
“and if my people, upon whom my name has been pronounced, humble themselves and pray, and seek my presence and turn from their evil ways, I will hear them from heaven and pardon their sins and revive their land.”

To Sum Up:
Jesus is both High Priest and Sacrifice. He carried His own atoning blood through the veil! He is the final, full and complete atonement for our sin, and the means of our reconciliation with God. On this Day of Atonement, recognize both that we need pardon, but also that, because of Jesus, we have that pardon as soon as we ask.

Pray with us:
“Lord Jesus, I admit my failings for the year just past and I humbly ask your forgiveness. I recognize that, despite my best intentions, I will fail in the year ahead. I acknowledge that I am a sinner saved by grace, eager to ‘humble myself and pray and seek Your face,’ and in that spirit and by Your invitation, I ask healing for myself, my family, my friends, and my nation.”
In the Almighty Name of Yeshua haMashiach, Amen.

Blessings in Jesus’ Name.

You Are Mine Forever!

I wrote this over a year ago and posted it here last year. The Lord led me to post it again as a reminder to all that His promises will never fail, we can always trust Him, and His promises are forever. The message is not only appropriate for Israel in these last days, but for all believers everywhere.

Don

Isaiah 43:1-3a NKJV
But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior..."

In that Scripture the Lord said, "I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine." Wow! What a powerful statement and promise from God to Israel!

Even though Israel was unfaithful, God still loved her and promised her release from captivity. The Holy One of Israel created her, He redeemed her, He promised to be with her through all trials and difficult times, and He will protect her - for Zion is desired as His dwelling place and resting place forever (Ps. 132:13,14).

Just as it is with Israel, we can also claim His promises. When we repent and by faith alone accept Jesus into our life as Savior and Lord, we instantly become royalty. We become sons and daughters of the most-high sovereign God - Who not only made those promises to Israel, but they are valid promises for us today. As a child of the King, we become worthy heirs to the kingdom of heaven. Revelation 3:4 promises that the faithful in Christ will walk with Him in purity and righteousness. The Apostle Paul stated in Galatians 3:29 NIV, "If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."

Can you truly claim the promises in God's Word as your own? Do you belong to Him? Are you able to say with absolute confidence and assurance that, "I am His, and He is mine?"

If so, then one day soon you will hear Jesus say, "My child, I have redeemed you, your sins once as scarlet are whiter than snow - you are Mine forever!" Oh, what wonderful words of life…eternal life!

John 10:27,28 NKJV
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
