Israel Alone In a Sea of Arab/Egyptian Upheaval

The civil unrest in Egypt has reached the critical point. Egyptian forces have killed over a hundred protesters and rioters, and the violence has spread to the Sinai Bedouin, who have attacked at the Rafa border with Gaza.
Israel is now faced with hostile intents on all of her borders, including the Mediterranean Sea (Turkey backed by Iran). This includes Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Egypt, as well as the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Psalm 83 is looming, as all the countries mentioned in that Scripture are now in a position to attack Israel. Read Isaiah 17...this is a situation which, should Israel strike and defeat her enemies, she would be in a position to finally enjoy peace and prosperity (the recently discovered oil reserves). Add to that the many nations elsewhere who are backing the Arab initiative to create a state within Israel's territory and you have the further makings of an Ezekiel 38 and 39 scenario down the line.

Paraguay's government said on Friday it had decided to recognize a Palestinian state based on borders before the 1967 war, following similar moves by other South American countries in recent months.

Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador, Bolivia and Uruguay and Guiana have recently recognized a Palestinian state along the pre-war borders. Chile and Peru have also given recognition to a Palestinian state, but without specifying borders.

Other Arab and European countries are joined to this list of over 130 who  support the Arab's who call themselves Palestinians:  Turkey, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Spain, France, Portugal, Norway and Ireland are among the many on the list.

This is not a time to be worrying about your financial future, but about your Spiritual future. God has drawn a line in the sand... who's side will you be on? Will you believe in Yeshua-Jesus and find forgiveness through His shed blood for your transgressions against a righteous holy God? Now is the day of salvation...it is freely given...you choose.

Wow, Mid! Your post today concerning Israel being alone is "right on". This is a very serious matter. Israel is surrounded by nations and peoples who are not only engaged in major civil unrest among themselves, but the violence and killing is quickly spiralling out of control - and threatening to spill over into Israel. The events quickly taking place today could very well be leading up to the prophesied end time conflicts.

According to the Scriptures, the end times will bring wars to Israel and the Jewish people. And yes...we must make no mistake about it...those wars will be both political and religious. But, when all is said and done, the veil will be removed from the eyes of the Jewish people that they would embrace Biblical salvation exactly as the Scriptures foretold long ago.

I believe their next war outlined in Ps. 83, Is. 17, and others, will include the first tier of nations immediately surrounding Israel. It's not known what will trigger it, but from Ps. 83, they will include: Edom/Southern Jordan; Ishmaelites/Northern Saudi Arabia; Moab/Central Jordan; Hagrites/Egypt; Gebal/Northern lebanon; Ammon/Northern Jordan; Amalek/Sinai; Philistia/Gaza; Tyre/Southern Lebanon; and Assyria/Syria and Northern Iraq.

The attacking nations will be devastated by Israel allowing them to re-gain much of their promised land, and as a result, Israel will become rich almost overnight. Isaiah 17 describes the destruction of Damascus. Scriptures such as Zeph. 2, Ezek. 25, Jer. 49, Amos 1, Zech. 9, and others also describe the destruction in that war.

The Gog-Magog war of Ezek. 38-39 involving Russia, Iran, and a huge federation of Islamic nations will follow soon thereafter - attacking Israel to take the spoils of war gained by Israel, while attempting to destroy the Jewish nation. We have certainly heard that threat recently, haven't we? None of the nations from the Ps. 83 / Is. 17 war will be present, for they will have been destroyed.

We are living in perilous times. Events will happen very quickly. Those wars will affect people world-wide. As Mid stated in her original blog post, we must know our heart is right with the Lord. Today is the day of salvation, for there are no guarantees for a tomorrow. Choose Him today while you may.

Now, more than ever, those who are called by Yeshua's Name, need to keep Israel in constant prayer. God's prophesies always come to pass. I see His hand in all that is happening in the Mid East. He takes care of Israel's sworn enemies. He has compassion on whom He will have compassion and judges those who deserve His hand of judgment. We are called to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to have faith in the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob...may we never waver, though some call us war mongers and worse... We must stand for Israel, when the world casts its lot against her.

Thank you, Don. I think our comments were posted simultaneously! God is righteous and holy and what He does is good and true. We have to know Him to understand His heart. I appreciate you making things even clearer about what is happening. May those who hunger for understanding search the Scriptures and be led by the Ruach HaKodesh. The days ahead get harder as the headlines line up with the Word.
God have mercy!!
