Here are some of the latest news stories... you can see the Lord's hand in every situation... I pray Israel will open her eyes to see this as well and trust in Him once again!
Iran: Iran has been experiencing significant technical problems with equipment in its uranium enrichment drive and temporarily shut down some of its centrifuge machines, Western diplomats said on Tuesday.
One senior diplomat said Iran acted after suffering power fluctuations but that it was unclear to what extent the Stuxnet computer virus may have been to blame. Iran is using an old centrifuge model which has been dogged by breakdowns for years. Security experts have said the release of Stuxnet could have been a state-backed attack, possibly from Israel or another foe of Iran, to sabotage the Islamic Republic’s nuclear programme.
Lebanon:
Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal told Al-Arabiya television on Wednesday that his country is suspending its efforts to mediate the government crisis in Lebanon – a situation he called “dangerous.” Beirut-based media reported that Hizbullah operatives – including Iranians and Syrians -- were seen practicing for a potential coup in the Lebanese capital. The reports intensified anxiety among residents of the city who have been hearing of the possibility of a Hizbullah coup d’état for months. The Beirut Daily Star is reporting that a “window of hope” opened on Wednesday as Turkish and Qatari mediators claimed progress in getting rival factions to reach some form of agreement. The paper suggests that even if the present negotiations succeed, it will be months before a new Lebanese government takes shape. The Hizbullah-instigated collapse of the government is already causing severe hikes in the cost of gasoline and food.
Tunisia: Reports from Tunisia say that more than 30 members of toppled dictator Zine Al-Abidine Ben Ali’s family have been arrested since he was removed from power. State-run television has been showing scenes of the arrests and of valuables seized from those detained. Ben Ali himself has reportedly fled Tunisia for Saudi Arabia. His extended family is under investigation for financial irregularities in the aftermath of the overthrow.
Jordan: More unrest is expected to hit Israel's closest eastern neighbor on Friday when Jordan's local Muslim Brotherhood chapter leads a second protest against the government.
The Islamic Action Front – the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood and the chief opposition party to the government – is leading a movement to censure the monarchy over rising prices for foodstuffs and fu
Arab countries:Arab Leaders Fear Local Uprisings
Arab League secretary-general Amr Moussa warned Wednesday in a speech at the start of the body's economic summit in Sharm el-Sheikh that Arab leaders should learn a lesson from the uprising in Tunisia.
Arab League secretary-general Amr Moussa warned Wednesday in a speech at the start of the body's economic summit in Sharm el-Sheikh that Arab leaders should learn a lesson from the uprising in Tunisia.
“It is on everyone's mind that the Arab self is broken by poverty, unemployment and a general slide in indicators,” calling the events in Tunisia an example of the “big social shocks” that await Arab societies.
“This is in addition to political problems that have not been resolved,” he said, according to the Associated Press.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak also noted that rising food prices and unemployment could threaten the status quo in Arab nations.
In an opening address to the gathering, Mubarak said, “We are not isolated from the world with its problems, challenges and crises. Employment and creating employment opportunities will remain one of the most important challenges we face... We have priorities to achieve food security and combat climate change impacts,” he added.
Analysts said Arab rulers are growing increasingly concerned over their vulnerability to popular uprisings by disgruntled citizenry, despite security from military backing.
God's judgment on these nations is still at hand, but He is patiently moving behind the scenes, giving more people time to turn to Him...

Thanks for the update, Mid. Your update reinforces the fact, that no one and nothing can thwart God's ultimate purposes.
Thank you, Lisa! My heart is so connected to Israel, that I cringe every time it is slandered and threatened, and I have to turn to the Lord and trust He will bring all His prophesies concerning His Land to pass. When Iran started threatening Israel, I couldn't for the life of me figure out how the leader, who defies God and Israel, could be dealt with other than a preemptive strike, which would have killed many innocent people. So I prayed for these people and held my breath...This internet virus was brilliant in that it accomplished the same goal without harming people!! God is Sooo Amazing!!
As events unfold almost daily, it is simply amazing to see the Lord working to care for and protect Israel. Each morning I can hardly wait to tune in the news for the latest developments to see what He has done. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will never abandon them, He will never forget them, and He will accomplish His purposes in ways we cannot even imagine.
Israel will face many challenges and trials in the days, weeks, and months ahead. But, I know that the God I serve and trust...is the same God who will hold tightly to Israel and will bring them through the refining fires as Scripture has promised. Even though the whole world is against that tiny nation, none will be able to stand against Him. Hallelujah!
