Hamas and Nazism--a Historic Tie?

July 25, 2009 by Alan M. Dershowitz
Felix Frankfurter Professor of Law, Harvard Law School

Hamas, the terrorist organization that specializes in targeting civilians, has now decided, according to a New York Times headline, to shift “from rockets to culture war” in an effort to garner public support for its cause. Part of its ongoing public relations campaign is to portray the Israelis as the “new Nazis” and the Palestinians as the “new Jews.” In order to bring about this transformation, it must engage in a form of Holocaust denial that erases the historical record of widespread Palestinian complicity with the “old Nazis” in perpetrating the real Holocaust. It has become an important part of the mantra of Hamas supporters that neither the Palestinians people nor its leadership played any role in the Holocaust. Listen to Mohammad Ahmadinejad talking to students at Columbia University:

If [the Holocaust] is a reality, we need to still question whether the Palestinian people should be paying for it or not. After all, it happened in Europe. The Palestinian people had no role to play in it. So why is it that the Palestinian people are paying the price of an event they had nothing to do with?...The Palestinian people didn’t commit any crime. They had no role to play in World War II. They were living with the Jewish communities and the Christian communities in peace at the time.

The conclusion that is supposed to follow from this “fact” is that the establishment of Israel in the wake of the Nazi genocide of the Jewish people was unfair to the Palestinians. Central to this claim is that neither the Palestinian people nor their leadership bore any responsibility for the Holocaust, and if any reparations are owed the Jewish people, it is from Germany and not from the Palestinians. The propounders of this historical argument suggest that the West created the Jewish state out of guilt over the Holocaust. It might have been understandable if a portion of Germany (or Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, France, Austria, or other collaborator nations) had been allocated for a Jewish homeland—but why Palestine? Palestine, according to this claim, was as much a “victim” as were the Jews.

I hear this argument on university campuses around the United States, and even more so in Europe. The truth is that the Palestinian leadership, supported by the Palestinian masses, played a significant role in Hitler’s Holocaust.

The official leader of the Palestinians, Haj Amin al-Husseini, spent the war years in Berlin with Hitler, serving as a consultant on the Jewish question. He was taken on a tour of Auschwitz and expressed support for the mass murder of European Jews. He also sought to “solve the problems of the Jewish element in Palestine and other Arab countries” by employing “the same method” being used “in the Axis countries.” He would not be satisfied with the Jewish residents of Palestine—many of whom were descendants of Sephardic Jews who had lived there for hundreds, even thousands, of years—remaining as a minority in a Muslim state. Like Hitler, he wanted to be rid of “every last Jew.” As Husseini wrote in his memoirs, “Our fundamental condition for cooperating with Germany was a free hand to eradicate every last Jew from Palestine and the Arab world. I asked Hitler for an explicit undertaking to allow us to solve the Jewish problem in a manner befitting our national and racial aspirations and according to the scientific methods innovated by Germany in the handling of its Jews. The answer I got was: ‘The Jews are yours.’”

The mufti was apparently planning to return to Palestine in the event of a German victory and to construct a death camp, modeled after Auschwitz, near Nablus. Husseini incited his pro-Nazi followers with the words “Arise, O sons of Arabia. Fight for your sacred rights. Slaughter Jews wherever you find them. Their spilled blood pleases Allah, our history and religion. That will save our honor.”

In 1948, the National Palestinian Council elected Husseini as its president, even though he was a wanted war criminal living in exile in Egypt. Indeed, Husseini is still revered today among many Palestinians as a national hero. Yasser Arafat, in an interview conducted in 2002 and reprinted in the Palestinian daily Al-Quds on August 2, 2002, called Husseini “our hero,” referring to the Palestinian people. Arafat also boasted of being “one of his troops,” even though he knew Husseini was “considered an ally of Nazis.” Today many Palestinians in East Jerusalem want to turn his home into a shrine. (Ironically, it is this home that was bought by a Jew to build the controversial Jewish housing development in East Jerusalem.)

It is a myth, therefore—another myth perpetrated by Iran’s mythmaker-in-chief as well as by Hamas and by many on the hard left who seek to demonize Israel—that the Palestinians played “no role” in the Holocaust. Considering the active support by the Palestinian leadership and masses for the losing side of a genocidal war, it was more than fair for the United Nations to offer them a state of their own on more than half of the arable land of the British mandate.

The Palestinians rejected that offer and several since because they wanted there not to be a Jewish state more than they wanted their own state. That was Husseini’s position. Hamas still takes that position. Perhaps their new “culture war” will finally cause them to reconsider—and to accept the two state solution.

Temple Institute to Build Sacrificial Altar on Tisha B'av

The sacrifices must start again in order to cease as declared by the Prophet Daniel.

Daniel 9:27
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Daniel 12:11
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

People have always said we couldn't be in the time period of Christ's return because there aren't any sacrifices being done. Well...they could begin again soon. The altar construction is underway. We are living in exciting times!

(IsraelNN.com) The Temple Institute will begin building the sacrificial altar on Thursday, Tisha B’av, a fast day when Jews mourn the destruction of the Temple some 2,000 years ago.

The sacrificial altar was located in the center of the Temple, and upon it the Kohanim (priests) offered the numerous voluntary and obligatory sacrifices commanded in the Bible.

The Temple Institute, which has already built many of the vessels for the Holy Temple, such as the ark and the menorah, has now embarked on a project to build the altar. Construction begins Thursday in Mitzpe Yericho (east of Jerusalem) at 5:30 p.m.

“Unfortunately, we cannot currently build the altar in its proper place, on the Temple Mount,” Temple Institute director Yehudah Glick said. “We are building an altar of the minimum possible size so that we will be able to transport it to the Temple when it is rebuilt."

Even a minimum size altar will work out to be approximately 4 meters tall, 6 meters long, and 6 meters wide. Workers have collected around 10 cubic meters of rocks weighing several tons already.

The rocks were gathered from the Dead Sea area and wrapped individually to assure they remain whole and are not touched by metal, as the Bible requires.

“The Torah says that no iron tools should be used on the altar’s stones,” Glick explained. “The altar represents a connection to life and to the creation of the world. Iron is the opposite – it is used to build tools of war, death, and destruction.”

The stones will be cemented together with a mixture of sand, clay, tar, and asphalt. Researchers from the Temple Institute visited the Finish glass factory near Yerucham to learn how to create a mixture which would remain as cool as possible under the altar’s unremitting fires and protect the Kohanim, who always worked in the Temple barefoot.

Glick said that Tisha B’av, a day associated with mourning, is really the ideal time to begin to build the Temple. “People mistakenly think Tisha B’av is only a day to cry,” he explained. “It also has to be a day of action. We have the ability in our era to begin the construction of the Temple."

“There are many positive developments recently with regard to the Temple,” Glick added. “Hundreds of Jews visited the Temple Mount this week, and more and more continue to come, after undergoing the requisite ritual immersion.”

Your Destroyers Will Come Out of Your Own Midst

When I read in The Jerusalem Post (July 22) the dangerous and ridiculous words of Debra DeLee, the President and CEO of Americans for Peace Now; knowing that she has a willing ally in White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel who is also a strong supporter of Peace Now's self-destructive folly: I realize that the ancient verse: "Your destroyers will come out of your own midst" is dangerously true of the reality today.

This is what DeLee dares write in her Obama-supporting article:

"Obviously, the Palestinians should take steps to show that they are serious about peace negotiations and Arab governments should do their part to support peace efforts, and the president is pushing on these fronts. But what the Arabs do or not do doesn't change what Israel should do.

We at Americans for Peace Now, and our friends at Israel's Peace Now movement, believe that for the sake of its security, stability and long-term well being, Israel should immediately reverse the settlement enterprise. And now, particularly now, instead of seeking "shticks and tricks" to evade a settlement freeze-in the words of New York Congressman Gary Ackerman, a staunch friend of Israel-Netanyahu should do whatever it takes to take advantage of the opportunity that Obama proposes."

DeLee, who writes about her "experience with the Democratic Party (She was chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee) and with Chicago politics" must have had, and still has, a close working relationship with Obama and of course Emanuel.

So here we have the true picture: self-hating Jews pushing the Goyim to force Israel according to their self-destructive, anti-Israel agenda to make concessions that with out doubt would lead to Israel's destruction.

Listen to the foolish and self-destructive advice to her fellow Jews, "her Israeli friends:"

"What the Arabs do or do not do doesn't change what Israel should do."

In short this is 'honest' advice for Israel to be willing to commit suicide, all in the interests of the so-called peace dream of the Israeli left. For when there will be no more Israel there of course will be peace - peace not of "the brave," as Arafat cruelly named the process once, but the peace of Israel's grave. And this brought about - as in history before - by self-destructive Jews themselves.

How happy the Gentile Obamas and Solanas must be for such 'helpful' Jews!

So here, maliciously, in the name of 'a peace' that will lead to Israel's destruction - wrapped in the beautiful sounding "we say it to you as friends in all honesty" - Israel is being told not just by her bitter enemies but also by her self-hating Jews to freeze all settlements. And these include those quarters in unified Jerusalem, which is for these turncoats still occupied territory. Israel must be ready to withdraw without waiting for any reciprocity from their sworn enemies. And those enemies will certainly use these abandoned areas to establish their third, Jihad-inspired terrorist state (after Hamas in Gaza and the Hizbullah in Lebanon) from which to finish off what will be left of Israel.

It was as the late Arafat, in a rare moment of honesty, confided to a reporter for the Dutch paper Trouw: "Peace for us means the destruction of Israel and to that peace process even some Jews are willing to lend their hand."

Growth in Yesha, Eastern Jerusalem Stymie US Plans

600,000 Jews in Yesha & Eastern Jerusalem Stymie US Plans
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu Growth in Yesha, Obstacle to US

There are now more than 600,000 Jews living in Yesha (Judea and Samaria) and eastern neighborhoods of Jerusalem that were restored to the Jewish State in the Six-Day War in 1967 -- but which the United States never has recognized as part of Israel. The Obama administration, continuing a change that began last when Condoleezza Rice was Secretary of State, has labeled the neighborhoods, such as Har Homa and Gilo, as “settlements.”

The number of Jews living in Judea and Samaria alone has crossed 300,000, and the growth rate by the end of the year is likely to reach five percent or more, creating an obstacle to U.S. President Barack Obama's campaign against the communities as “illegitimate.”

Most of the growth has come in cities, such as Modi'in and Beitar Illit, which generally are lumped with smaller towns and hilltop outposts as “settlements.” The figures, issued by the Civil Administration, do not include residents of several outposts.

The growth rate in Judea and Samaria, known as Yesha, was 2.3 percent for the first six months of the year, according to the report. However, the growth rate by the end of the year may be more than twice as much because of a traditionally large increase in home sales and rentals during the summer vacation.

The move to Judea and Samaria probably would be higher, but American-imposed building restrictions have prevented people from building their own houses. Real estate agents have reported that prices for the remaining empty houses have soared as people race to move into the remaining supply of housing.

More Jews also are moving into eastern Jerusalem, where the U.S. has concentrated efforts to impose a building freeze. Approximately 300 families, most of them with several children, are living in several neighborhoods, some of them where Jews owned homes nearly 100 years ago but were expelled by the British during Arab pogroms in the period of the British Mandate. Hundreds of other families were forced to leave the Old City when it fell during the War of Independence in 1948.

National Union party chairman MK Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh) responded to the Civil Administration statistics by calling on every Jewish family to "give birth to an additional child this year as a Zionist response to the decrees of Barack Hussein Obama."

Serving In The IDF 'For The Sake Of God And Jesus'

*Jesus supports the IDF and he wants his believers to be the best soldiers they can be.

That was the message conveyed by members of the local Messianic Jewish community via sacred texts, prayer and talks, to a group of 18-year-olds who took part this week in a premilitary program called Netsor.

"I am a soldier of God," said Boris, an intense redhead accepted to an elite combat unit, who is one of the 28 young men and women who participated in Netsor.

"I will do my best during my service in the IDF to serve God spiritually and physically. Not for the sake of state authorities but for the sake of God and Jesus," added Boris, as we sat in the dining room of a guest house that overlooks Lake Kinneret on Wednesday.

Not far from here, according to Christian tradition, Jesus walked on water, healed the sick and preached. Now, nearly two millennia later, young "believers," as they call themselves, convinced they are walking in Jesus's footsteps, hope to become the next fighter pilots, reconnaissance soldiers, paratroopers, tank commanders and sailors.

Some 150 highly motivated believers will join the IDF this year. Many of them will serve in combat units. Some of them have been through Netsor's week of mental and spiritual preparation offered by the Messianic community. Netsor is a Hebrew word that means "to guard" or "to stand vigilant."

The return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel with the establishment of the State of Israel brought with it a small but growing group of Messianic Jews, numbering today between 10,000 and 15,000. These Christians celebrate their own version of Jewish holidays such as Pessah and Succot and set aside Friday night and Saturday as a day of rest.

But they also believe that Jesus is the messiah and that he is the only path to redemption. Messianic Jews, who distance themselves from the more in-your-face proselytizing tactics of Jews for Jesus, are nevertheless very open about their beliefs, including their conviction that traditional Jewish faith is not sufficient for redemption.

Due to their religious beliefs, Messianic Jews have been subjected over the years to physical attacks and discrimination, including in the IDF.

M., a platoon commander in an elite demolition unit who is one of the founders of Netsor, asked The Jerusalem Post to leave out identifiable personal details of individuals who agreed to be interviewed out of concern that they would be singled out and blackballed by antagonistic elements with connections in the army.

"In the end, we believe that God opens and closes doors," said M. "And if he does not want someone to advance in the IDF it won't happen. But we don't want to make any mistakes that will hurt someone's IDF career."

For Messianic Jews, military service in the IDF is not only a mandatory civil duty, it is a religious obligation. Lacking an exegetical tradition but serious about the sacredness and relevance of the biblical text, "believers" learn this obligation to serve in the army right out of the New Testament.

Romans (13:1-7) warns not to resist political authority, because it is "the ordinance of God."

Colossians (3:22,23) teaches that one must excel as a faithful servant of one's superiors, not for personal aggrandizement but to serve God.

The group's interpretation of these texts, combined with a strong religious faith, transform them into soldiers of God determined to do his will during their stint in the army of the Jewish state.

Other verses, such as the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew, 5-7), which some Christians interpret as Jesus's support for pacifism, are seen by Messianic Jews as an obligation to love one's enemies while fighting and killing them.

"I hate what Palestinian terrorists do, therefore I will do anything, including kill, if necessary, to stop them," said Tzvi, an educator and counselor at Netsor. "But I do not allow that to prevent me from loving them as human beings."

Many Messianic Jews see their obligation to serve in the IDF as no different from the obligation of other Christians in the US, Britain or even Jordan and Egypt to serve their respective countries.

"If I lived in Jordan I would have the same feelings for the Jordanian army," said Tzvi.

But for some, serving in the IDF has special theological meaning. Yoel, who was an officer in an IDF combat unit, believes the return of the Jewish people to the Land of Israel is part of God's plans.

"The IDF is an instrument in the hands of God because it facilitates his plan," said Yoel. "But I would not call it a holy army or the army of God."

The Netsor program, which began three years ago, has quadrupled the number of students from seven in 2007 to 28 this year.

Yoel, one of Netsor's founders, hopes one day to create a premilitary academy for Messianic Jews modeled after existing academies for religious and secular Israelis.

"We pray that sometime in the future we will succeed in establishing a full-fledged premilitary academy that will offer a one-year program; with God's help."

The Third Temple

Zechariah 6:15 "And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

Isaiah 56:6,7,8 "Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. 8The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
Could it be that we could be instrumental in helping Jews to build the third temple?

250 Rabbis Sign Letter to Obama: Hands off Jerusalem

(IsraelNN.com) Heads of the Pikuach Nefesh rabbinical committee have begun collecting the signatures of rabbis in Israel on a letter to United States President Barack Obama. The letter demands that Obama cease talking about ending Jewish construction in Jerusalem and stop pressuring Israel in that direction.

In a reference to the upcoming “nine days” which culminate in Tisha B’Av, the rabbis tell Obama that “during these days, in which the Jewish people mourns the destruction of Jerusalem and marks the disgraceful memory of its destroyers, we are certain that you, Mr. Barack Obama, do not want to enter that disreputable list of those who raise their hand to strike Jerusalem and those who live in it.”

The rabbis note that during his visit to the Middle East, Obama showed “impressive erudition” in the Koran. “As one who is familiar with the Koran, you surely know that the city of Jerusalem is not even mentioned in it once,” they said.

“The Arab and Muslim world never recognized Jerusalem as belonging to it,” the letter went on. “On the other hand, all of the world’s nations knew for thousands of years that the Jews pray towards one place only – the holy city of Jerusalem.”

The rabbis added that even putting aside the city’s enormous sanctity and importance for the Jewish people, there is no realpolitik logic behind any concession to the PA. “Since Israel began negotiations, withdrawals and concessions to the Palestinians, the entire world is witness to the justice of the Jewish Law (Halacha) which determines that any such concession will entail another round of bloodshed and deepen mistrust and dangers,” they agreed.

The rabbinical letter ends with a clear request: “If you, Mr. Obama. Wish to leave any chance at all for peace and quiet in the Middle East, take your hands off the Holy City of Jerusalem right now!”

Two hundred and fifty rabbis have signed the appeal, and efforts are being made to collect the signatures of almost every single rabbi in Israel before the letter is sent to Washington.

Natanyahu defies Obama: Won't stop housing project!!!

Read the story here

(Quote)
JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected Sunday the Obama administration's demand that Israel halt the planning of a Jewish housing project in a predominantly Arab East Jerusalem neighborhood.Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu consults with an advisor regarding the controversial construction project.

"Our sovereignty over [Jerusalem] cannot be challenged. This means that residents of Jerusalem may purchase apartments in all parts of the city," Netanyahu said at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting.

"We cannot accept the idea that Jews will not have the right to live and purchase in all parts of Jerusalem."

In a meeting last Thursday with Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren, U.S. State Department officials had demanded the project be stopped, Israeli officials said.
.
.
.
(Quote)
"I can only describe to myself what would happen if someone would propose that Jews could not live in certain neighborhoods in New York, London, Paris or Rome," Netanyahu said. "There would certainly be a major international outcry. Accordingly, we cannot agree to such a decree in Jerusalem."

What right or authority does Obama have to tell the sovereign nation of Israel what she can or cannot do? His demands are equivalent to some foreign country saying we can't build a new office building in Chicago. Way to go, Bibi!!!

As Iraq runs dry, a plague of snakes is unleashed

We learn in Scripture of the historical and prophetic significance of the great river Euphrates. Its first mention is found in Gen. 2:14 as the fourth river flowing from Eden. It is one of the boundries of the promised Land (Gen. 15:18) given to Abram. Its significance also extends into Revelation with events that will take place during the final days of the great tribulation.

Revelation 9:13-15
Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.

Revelation 16:12
Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

Due to severe drought and reduced water being released through upstream dams, the water flowing in the Euphrates has dropped to unprecedented low levels causing crop failures and uninhabitable conditions for livestock and people.

The extreme low water level has also allowed a massive plague of deadly snakes to emerge on the land along the much smaller river, causing injury and death to people and animals. From Rev. 9:13-15 we know that in the last days the four fallen angels that are bound in the river will be released to destroy men. To me it's interesting that in the beginning Satan spoke through a serpent to deceive and tempt Eve in the garden. Now today, deadly serpents are appearing on the once water covered land causing havoc and death.

The Euphrates will run dry (Rev. 16:12), providing the kings of the East easy access in their march toward Israel during their final, but futile, attempt to destroy Israel and God's people. Praise God...we know that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will return (Rev. 19:11-16) with great power and glory to destroy all evil forever.

It will all happen as prophesied. The four angels bound in the Euphrates will be released. The great river Euphrates will dry up as foretold in Scripture. However, a snake plague as experienced today is not Biblically recorded for the tribulation.

Is the drying up of the river today the beginning of the Rev. 16:12 prophecy? Or, is it a warning for the watchmen among us that we are very near the end days? We must renew and re-double our efforts to proclaim the Good News of the gospel to the lost while there's still time.

Don

Read the amazing article titled, "As Iraq runs dry, a plague of snakes is unleashed", concerning the Euphrates water levels and the deadly snake plague.

The article contains an actual photo of the snake. It's beautiful, it's ugly, and it looks evil with the two horn-like protrusions on top of its head.

Iran-The Prince of Persia

The Archangel Michael Battles The Prince Of Persia
& Defeats Satan
(By Duncan Long & Guido Reni)

Iran's defense ministry said on Wednesday it had carried out a field test of the latest version of its Shahab-3 medium-range ballistic missile, which defense experts say can reach Israel or U.S. bases in the Gulf.

The information comes following an admission by Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani last week that Iran was working on improvements to the range and accuracy of the Shahab-3 in response to Israel's moves to boost its anti-missile capability. Based on the North Korean Nodong-1 and modified with Russian technology, the Shahab-3 is thought to have a range of 810 miles which would allow it to strike anywhere in Israel. Shahab means "Meteor" in Persian – an interesting choice of words:

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters..."

– Revelation 8:10

Tehran is sounding increasingly like Baghdad did before the U.S.-led coalition invaded and removed Saddam Hussein. The Iranians are painfully aware that Israel will not allow them to develop a nuclear weapon. They are equally aware that the last Arab enemy to come close was Saddam Hussein – before Israeli warplanes reduced Iraq's Osiraq reactor to rubble.

Revolutionary Guards Cmdr. Yahya Rahim Safavi gave his best impression of Baghdad Bob, telling Iran's Student News Agency: "If Israel behaves like a lunatic and attacks the Iranian nation's interests, we will come down on their heads like a mallet and break their bones."

Iran deployed the Shahab-3 missiles to its Revolutionary Guards last July after preliminary field tests were successfully completed.

Six of the sand-colored missiles, bearing slogans which said "We will stamp on America" and "We will wipe Israel from the face of the earth," were displayed at an annual military parade last September.

Defense Minister Shamkhani also said:

I completely rule out that Israel would dare direct any military strike at any Iranian facilities. But if Israel one day commits such military folly against Iran, I can promise you that Ariel Sharon, assuming he stays alive, will appear on television screens and announce that he regrets this folly ... He will suffer and scream out in pain.

This sounds like Shamkhani is warning about either biological or even atomic weapons. Iran, or Persia, has been in the center of an unseen warfare from ancient times.

In the 10th chapter of the book of the prophet Daniel, a most extraordinary revelation is made concerning the real rulers behind nations. God pulls back the curtain and briefly exposes the wars that continue in Heaven that affect events on the Earth.

Daniel prayed for Divine insight into the meaning of some prophecies God gave him about the future of his people Israel. An angel appeared to him 21 days later and explained the delay to God's answer:

He said to me, "O Daniel, man of high esteem, understand the words that I am about to tell you and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you." And when he had spoken this word to me, I stood up trembling. Then he said to me, "Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words.

But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for 21 days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to give you an understanding of what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the pertains to the days yet future."

– Daniel 10:11-14, NAS

I mention this here for two reasons. First, it reveals that there are mighty fallen angels called demons that influence earthly leaders. And under God's permission, they even control them. The true "Prince of Persia" was able to hinder the archangel Gabriel.

Only with the help of the archangel Michael was he able to subdue his hindrances. Second, the archangel Michael is said to be the special guardian angel of Daniel and the Israeli people. As it is written, "Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise." (Daniel 12:1, NAS)

I realize for some of you this may sound a little spooky. But this is the Word of God and it is true. My point is this: Even though God has allowed Israel to be disciplined, their final fate always remains in His hands.

God has promised that the nation of Israel will never be destroyed once they return from the worldwide dispersion that began with the holocaust in A.D. 70. And all the powers of darkness cannot change God's promise.

Israel was officially reborn May 15, 1948. So even though the modern Persians think they will destroy Israel, God has another surprise in mind for them.

Disgraceful Iran Policy

US Vice President Joe Biden recently said in a pre-taped interview with ABC’s George Stephanoupolos: “Look, Israel can determine for itself - it’s a sovereign nation - what’s in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else… What we believe is in the national interest of the United States, which we, coincidentally, believe is also in the interest of Israel and the whole world… Look, we cannot dictate to another sovereign nation what they can and cannot do.”

Does this mean that Obama’s administration has finally realized that Israel was right about Iran all along and that the policy of appeasement of Iran has gruesomely failed? Why has Israel suddenly become “a sovereign nation” facing no pressure from the United States and “coincidentally” with the same interests as the US “and the whole world?” Shouldn’t Israel be recognized as a sovereign country, as any other state is, without any special permission and dispensation from the US?

By now, the US administration and even many Muslim countries have realized that they need Israel to do the dirty work for them to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Later, without any doubt, they will vigorously deny their desire to subdue the Iranian nuclear ambition and will direct wild accusations at Israel over its aggression etc, just as they did after Israel curbed Iraq’s nuclear ambitions in 1981.

Biden’s statement was made after the election in Iran failed to produce a change in the political leadership, and after Iran’s president rejected any negotiations toward ending terminating the nuclear program. At the same time, he has intensified his verbal assaults and threats against Britain and the EU.

Damage control offensive
However, almost immediately after Biden’s remarks, we saw State Department Spokesman Ian Kelly embark on a damage control offensive, rebuffing suggestions that the vice president could be seen as giving the Jewish state a green light to attack Iran.

“I certainly would not want to give a green light to any kind of military action,” Kelly said, although he repeated Biden’s point that Washington considered Israel a “sovereign country” with a right to make its own military decisions. “I wouldn’t read into it any more than what you see... as I said, that we respect Israel’s sovereignty.”

Meanwhile, Egypt has vigorously denied that an Israeli submarine sailed through the Suez Canal last month, while Saudi Arabia has rejected reports that it agreed to permit Israeli fighter jets to use Saudi airspace en route to bombing Iran’s nuclear sites.

In the final analysis, while the US administration and some Muslim countries may be eager to see Israel striking at Iran’s nuclear program, President Obama and other players want to keep their hands clean by maintaining an ambiguous position on the prospect of an Iran strike. They believe this will allow them to rebuke and assault Israel politically after such attack. What a disgraceful double-flip hypocritical policy!

Solana - World must force deadline on ME Peace.

Story source here

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana on Saturday called for the United Nations Security Council to recognize a Palestinian state by a certain deadline even if an agreement is not reached between Israel and the Palestinians.

Solana made the comments on Saturday at a lecture in London. The Palestinians have said they will not revive peace talks unless there is a halt to Israel's settlement activities in the West Bank.

"After a fixed deadline, a UN Security Council resolution should proclaim the adoption of the two-state solution," Solana said, adding this should include border parameters, refugees, control over the city of Jerusalem and security arrangements.

"It would accept the Palestinian state as a full member of the UN, and set a calendar for implementation. It would mandate the resolution of other remaining territorial disputes and legitimize the end of claims," Solana went on.

Advocating a return to Israel's borders before the 1967 Six-Day War with Egypt, Syria and Jordan in which it took the West Bank and other territories, Solana said mediators should set a timetable for a peace agreement.

"If the parties are not able to stick to it (the timetable), then a solution backed by the international community should be put on the table," he said.

Solana also praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "for finally generating an Israeli consensus" on a two-state solution.

The EU, along with the United States, Russia and the United Nations, is part of the Quartet of Middle East Negotiators.

The world is getting impatient. Its focus is strictly on Israel as though that would be the magic bullet that will bring world peace. However, it won't happen as they have planned.

Report: IDF and Iran already Engaged in 'Cyber War'

(IsraelNN.com) While Israel has publicly refrained from striking Iran, a secret “cyber war” may have already begun, according to ABC's Simon McGregor-Wood. Clandestine computer battles are used both to gather information and to launch offensive strikes, he says.

Israeli defense expert Alon Ben-David, who spoke with McGregor-Wood, believes cyber warfare has become “a very important area in Israeli strategy.” Israel began hacking into foreign systems years ago, after a routine exercise demonstrated that Israel's own systems were shockingly unprepared for a cyber assault.

It did not take long for Israel to apply those findings to other countries, experts say.

'Unexplained breakdowns'
Ben-David relates that Israel's war on Iran has been successful so far. “The Iranians have experienced a number of malfunctions and unexplained breakdowns,” he says.

Targeting Iran is particularly easy as the Islamic Republic imports the vast majority of its computer equipment and expertise. This allows Israel to target Iran's computers before they even reach the country.

Israel successfully attacked computer-based systems in Syria as well, Ben-David says. Only the use of “cyber war” allowed Israel to conduct an airstrike on a Syrian nuclear facility in 2007 without setting off Syria's air defense systems, he explains.

Cyber attacks have also been used against Israel. During Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, Israeli government sites came under attack and were briefly paralyzed. More sensitive systems were not breached.

The attack on Israel's systems, in January of this year, involved more than half a million computers sending a total of 15 million junk mail items each second, causing server overload. While cyber attacks are notoriously difficult to track, Israeli experts believe they may have pinpointed the culprit: a criminal group based in the former Soviet Union that used similar tactics against Georgia months earlier. The group may have been paid off by Hamas or Hizbullah, they say.

Perhaps part of Israel's strategy is to neutralize Iran covertly using cyber warfare - crippling their defenses to render them ineffective while Israel's planes and missiles are flying. Stay tuned...we might know soon!

Psalm 103

Bless the Lord, praise His holy name! Praise God! Bow down before our Almighty God and worship Him for He is God, and there is none other! Our God is an awesome God! He reigns forever more! Thank You, Lord! Hallelujah, and all praise to Him! Amen!

Psalm 103 KJV

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6 The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

17 But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;

18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

22 Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Israel, the Doormat

*
Anyone who acts like a doormat when he visits one foreign ruler should not be surprised when other rulers come along and act as arrogantly as the first. From day one we have let the world understand that we are a country with no self-respect, that we can be insulted and punched and will respond, if at all, with restraint and meekness. French President Nicolas Sarkozy was able to say what he said about Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman because for years Israel has been getting across the message: You can treat us arrogantly.

It isn't the Americans who formulated the belittling and trivializing formula "natural growth" at which the Obama administration is now chipping away in an arrogant and bullying manner. An Israeli government, headed by Ariel Sharon, was responsible for the trivializing. And instead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declaring, here at home, that no independent nation can agree to have "natural growth" dictate its rate of construction, Defense Minister Ehud Barak has gone off to the United States to plead for this poor little lamb.

And to whom has he gone? To the president? To the vice president? To the secretary of state? No. To an envoy, who holds the mere rank of ambassador. The State of Israel's defense minister has tried to extract an agreement to build kindergartens in Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria. And since George Mitchell has apparently sent the defense minister away empty-handed, the prime minister himself is about to go to him hat in hand. Maybe he'll change his mind.

The British government is on the brink of collapse. And with what is the British foreign minister busy? He "completely deplores" an Israeli decision to build 50 housing units in the settlement Adam in Judea and Samaria. Foreign diplomats in Israel are speaking in a lordly way to Israeli statesmen, and foreign journalists are asking them questions that are often biased, intrusive and insolent. These correspondents would never allow themselves to behave so crudely in their own countries. And why shouldn't they? Here, after all, everyone including prime ministers feels obligated to justify himself to them and gratify them. Only rarely does someone put them in their place.

The scorn for Israeli sovereignty and dignity runs from the lowest to the highest. Israelis, in contact with foreigners, tend to be self-abasing and massively critical of their country and its leaders. Those who excel at this in particular are people from Israeli organizations who get their funding from foreign governments and foreign NGOs, and in return, wittingly or not, serve their interests.

Azerbaijan, a Muslim country, has a dangerous border with Iran. Many of its interests, especially economic interests, inevitably intersect with Iran's. About three weeks ago Iran's chief of staff, Maj. Gen. Hasan Firuzabadi, paid a surprise visit to Baku. The aim: to prevent a visit to the republic by Israeli President Shimon Peres. Although it was made clear to them that Iran would take a dim view should they refuse (and indeed while Peres was there, Iran recalled its ambassador), the Azerbaijanis rejected the demand outright. Azerbaijan is a country with self-respect. They made it clear to the bullying Iranians that no one was going to tell them which guests to receive, or to whom to export goods, or especially from whom to import. Only Israel fired the director general of its Defense Ministry, Amos Yaron, because that's what the Americans dictated.

When the norm is to submit to pressure, the pressures only increase. If right at the start of the pressure campaign Netanyahu has bowed down to the Americans and given up his most basic principle - opposition to a Palestinian state - what is left for him to give when the next wave of pressure comes along? This is weakness and this is its wage. Haaretz

Jordan expects Obama to announce Mideast peace plan by end of July

AMMAN - US President Barack Obama is expected to announce by the end of July a plan to achieve peace in the Middle East, the government said on Wednesday.

"Based on our contacts and discussions with US officials, we believe that the plan is still in the making," Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Judeh told The Jordan Times yesterday, adding that all signs coming from the US administration indicate that the peace plan is expected to be declared within the coming few weeks. Judeh reiterated the Kingdom's position on the peace process, which “His Majesty King Abdullah has made clear on many occasions”. The top diplomat reasserted that the only solution is the two-state formula which leads to a viable Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, as well as finding a just solution to the Palestinian refugee problem.

Last Friday, US Mideast envoy George Mitchell said that the US hoped Israelis and Palestinians would soon begin "meaningful and productive" peace negotiations, according to Reuters.

"We believe we are making progress in these efforts and we hope very much to conclude this phase of the discussions and to be able to move into meaningful and productive negotiations in the near future," Mitchell told a news conference following a meeting in Italy of the Middle East Quartet which comprises the UN, EU, US and Russia.

President Obama, in an address to the Muslim and Arab worlds last month, vowed that the Middle East peace process would be resumed and that a Palestinian state would be established.

Also last month, King Abdullah said during a meeting with Mitchell that Obama's stance on the Middle East has created a positive atmosphere that paves the way for a comprehensive and lasting solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The Monarch added that it is important that all stakeholders play a positive role to help realise peace and stability in the region.
