Jerusalem, a Praise in the Earth!

Isaiah 62...

¹For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

²And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

³Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

⁴Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.

⁵For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.

⁶I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,

⁷And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Tell me Jerusalem isn't important!!

Promises

Isaiah 66:8-14

Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed , she brought forth her children.
Shall I bring to the birth , and not cause to bring forth ? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth , and shut the womb? saith thy God.
Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:
That ye may suck , and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out , and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck , ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
As one whom his mother comforteth , so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.
And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice , and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

More promises for future Israel. Peace like a river with the Glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Those who align themselves with Israel will be comforted in Jerusalem. Right now there is fear and uncertainty but in that day, God says our hearts will rejoice, and our bones will flourish like a growing plant. We who love Israel and mourn for her will be glad and rejoice...we will know the hand of the Lord, not his judgment reserved for His enemies. Get rooted and grounded in the word now. Let the Lord open your eyes to the Truth about Israel. Beware of emergent church doctrine, replacement theology and those who would put God's promises in the past tense. There is much more to come!!
