Our awesome God...the One who created all things, the One who is in complete control, the One who never slumbers or sleeps, and the One who has numbered the hairs of our head will never allow Israel to cease from being a nation, nor will He ever turn away from His people.
Israel is the apple of God's eye (Zech, 2:8). God will protect, deliver and rescue Israel (Is. 31:5). In Jerusalem, which He has chosen, His name will be there forever (2 Chr. 33:7).
Jeremiah 31:35-36 NIV
This is what the LORD says, he who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar - the LORD Almighty is his name: "Only if these decrees vanish from my sight," declares the LORD, "will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me."
Just as Almighty God cares for Israel, He also cares for you and me - for we are all precious in His sight. Just imagine! He holds the whole world in the palm of His hand, yet He will curl up inside our heart if we let Him into our life.
Psalm 91:4 NIV
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
We must praise God and thank Him every day for His goodness, for abundantly providing for our needs, and for keeping us safe in all circumstances. Above all, we must humbly thank God for His matchless gift of salvation through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and resurrection – a free gift offered to all who choose to reach out by faith alone to receive it.
Even though each new day will often bring new troubles, disappointment, sadness, and discouragement into our lives, it should also be a time to lean on Him as never before. Then, when the storm clouds gather around us, we know we can depend on the Lord for the renewed strength, hope, and assurance He has promised - for He is faithful to protect, provide, and care for His own.
When we rise up each morning, a spirit of praise and thanksgiving should be in our hearts and on our lips. We need to pray, “Thank you, Lord, for this day You have made. Thank You for allowing me to be a part of it. Help me to rejoice and be glad in it. Show me what You would have me do today that I might do it all for Your honor and glory in Jesus’ Name – Amen!”

The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
Yes!!!
Great is His faithfulness. What an awesome God we serve!

A Thankful Heart
Today after I double checked our menu for the USA's traditional Thanksgiving dinner to insure that nothing had been overlooked, I was relieved and thankful to find everything finally ready and in place for the busy day ahead.
However, my mind and thoughts went to this Scripture from the Psalms:
Psalm 100:4,5
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
Thanksgiving isn't just about being grateful for our circumstances. It's being grateful for God, who has blessed our life with those things.
Thanksgiving should be a wonderful celebration that is God-honoring and God-focused. But sadly for many, it will often only consist of parades, football games, and a large meal. At a time when we should be giving thanks to Him, our society has pushed Him aside.
There's certainly nothing wrong with families having a great time together on that day. We need to do that, not just during the Thanksgiving gathering, but often. As families we must also celebrate God's goodness and blessings in our lives.
It's only because of God and His blessings that we can be thankful and grateful for what He has done in our lives. We must remember to thank God for who He is, and for what He has done for us eternally through Jesus Christ.
Thank Him, praise Him, honor Him, and glorify His holy name - today and every day.
Have a very blessed, peaceful, and thankful day in the Lord!

Sing praises to His Holy name!
I love praise and worship songs that glorify His Holy name, and songs that proclaim His awesome power and majesty. Many of them are songs of thanksgiving for Who He is, and for what He has done. As I sing those songs, my emotions are often tearful, joyful, humble and up-lifting - all at the same time.
Yesterday I listened to a song that I've heard many times before, but this time as I focused on the words, they held a special meaning and significance. I'd like to share the song with you and offer my thoughts.
"Shout to The Lord"
My Jesus, my Savior, Lord, there is none like You;
All of my days I want to praise the wonders of Your mighty love.
My comfort, my shelter, tower of refuge and strength;
Let ev'ry breath, all that I am, never cease to worship You.
Chorus
Shout to the Lord, all the earth, let us sing
Power and Majesty, praise to the King;
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name.
I sing for joy at the work of your hands,
Forever I'll love You, forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.
There are many examples of praise, worship and thanksgiving in Scripture. The children of Israel were very expressive people with singing, dancing, raising of hands and arms, and making music using a variety of musical instruments in their praise and worship of Almighty God.
Just a few examples of their passionate worship are found here:
2 Sam. 6:14 David danced before the Lord with all his might.
Ps. 47:1,2 Clap your hands and shout with joy.
Ps. 63:4 Lift up hands in praise.
Ps. 95:1,2 Sing for joy with thanksgiving.
Ps. 149:3 Praise His name with dancing and make music to Him.
Ps. 150:3-5 Praise Him with the sounds of many instruments.
Just as the children of Israel worshiped, may we also praise God's greatness and glory with all that is within us.
Psalm 96:1-6 (NKJV)
1. Oh, sing to the LORD a new song!
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2. Sing to the LORD, bless His name;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
3. Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.
4. For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised;
He is to be feared above all gods.
5. For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the LORD made the heavens.
6. Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
The last line of the 'Shout To The Lord' chorus reads, "Nothing compares to the promise I have in You." With the world crumbling all around us, with turmoil everywhere we look, and with Israel surrounded by armies seeking to destroy her, we know Who holds tomorrow. We can find rest and comfort in His promises.
Will you join me with raised voices and joyful hearts to sing praises to Him - giving all honor and glory to our Lord and King? I pray we can all do that today.

Jerusalem, a Praise in the Earth!
Isaiah 62...1For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
2And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
3Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.

Bless the Lord, praise His holy name! Praise God! Bow down before our Almighty God and worship Him for He is God, and there is none other! Our God is an awesome God! He reigns forever more! Thank You, Lord! Hallelujah, and all praise to Him! Amen!
