The Real Nakba:Jewish Refugees from Arab Lands!

y Chana Ya'ar Ayalon: Remember the Real Nakba

Arabs across Israel spent this weekend protesting the “nakba” – catastrophe, in Arabic – of the re-establishment of the State of Israel, the 63rd anniversary of which is May 15. Israel celebrates the event on its Hebrew date, which this year was early last week.

Nevertheless, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon issued a statement Sunday calling on the public to remember what he called the “real nakba” – that of Jewish refugees from Arab lands.

“Today, as the Palestinians and their supporters commemorate their so-called 'Nakba' it is imperative that the catastrophe that befell the Jews from Arab lands be remembered and recognized,” Ayalon said.

“While the Arabs in 1948 were involved in hostilities against the Jews, the Jews of the Middle East and North Africa were not present in any theatre of war, yet overnight their citizenship was revoked, their assets stolen and they were expelled or forced to flee,” he noted.

Ayalon said he is making the issue a central point within the Foreign Ministry and believes it should be added to any future negotiations with the Palestinian Authority.

“In any future agreement with the Palestinians, the issue of the Jewish refugees should be recognized and those who fled, and their descendants, ought to receive redress,” Ayalon said.

“This issue has been recognized by United Nations resolutions, peace agreements with our neighbors, in the U.S. Congress and the Knesset. The Palestinian refugee narrative has been allowed to stand uncontested, too few people know about the real “Nakba” that saw the dispossession of almost a million Jews – and it is about time for this to change.”

Palestinians: Prepare for 3rd Intifada

[quote from article]
According to the organizers, the event will consist of four stages – the first is a "sit-down strike" that will begin on Sunday, during which Palestinian refugees from Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, the West Bank and Gaza will gather in locations nearest to the border with Israel. These strikes will continue as long as necessary – and may last up to several weeks and even months.

The second phase is dubbed "the advance," in which refugees will proceed peacefully toward the border, as much as they are allowed. In the third phase, referred to as "crossing," the refugees will cross the border and respond in restraint to any attempt to crack-down on the procession.

The fourth and final stage will begin when each refugee reaches their original place of residence, or the nearest location to it, at which time a second sit-down strike resume, until they are allowed to return to their plot of land.
[end quote]

This article contains many details of the plans for the Palestinian stages of protest, and much more.

Full story
here

They insist that although they are peaceful, their intent is clear...it is to move back to "their" land. Israel must not let that happen. Perhaps the Palestinians are pushing Israel - forcing Israel to move against them. Then, the Palestinians could use that as their springboard to launch a major war on Israeli soil.

It is bad enough when your neighbors try to force you aside because they want to move in with you, but it is quite another thing to hear them say they must kill you before they move in. If Israel is forced to defend her land, and if violence erupts with women and children caught in the crossfire, then the international community will accuse Israel of heinous crimes against humanity.

The good news in all of this is that the God of Israel has already won the victory!

What's Edom Got To Do With It?

I did it, too...
Whenever I ran into a word in the Bible that I did not understand . . . then I just skipped over it.

About fifteen years ago I visited Israel because my daughter and my grandchildren lived in Jerusalem.

That was the last time I just "skipped" over things in the Bible that I did not understand.

Wow! That has made a huge difference in understanding the END TIME scenario.

Now, I purposefully look up these words and research them

I noticed something: every nation that Jesus will fight against when He returns is a Muslim nation.

Every country that surrounds Israel is a Muslim nation: Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey, not to mention Iraq and Iran.

Even Gog and Magog (that we were previously told by U.S. "scholars" was Russia) were regions in Eastern Turkey!

Forget about the European Union and the papacy being enemies of the Muslim nations.

If you really want to understand the END TIMES, then read Isaiah 63:1-6, Habakkuk 3:1-7, and Revelation 19. Just for your information: it is approximately 180 miles from Haifa to Petra!

Jesus is not coming back as the Sunday School Jesus, all meek and mild. The first time He came here He came as a baby in a manger.

The next time Jesus comes, He will be "The Lord of Heaven's Armies" (YHWH tseba' oth). And it is possible that many people sitting in the pews will not even know who He is. They are expecting Him to land on the Mt. of Olives. Oh, He will stand on the Mt. of Olives all right, but He is coming from Edom, and more specifically from Bozrah!

Where is Edom and Bozrah?

Edom is modern Jordan, and Bozrah is a city in that nation which is now named Bouseira, very near Petra (a well-visited tourist spot near Saudia Arabia), which is also in Jordan.

He will have blood spattered all over his white uniform (Rev. 19:13 and Isaiah 63:1). Why is He spattered with blood? Because He will be a Mighty Warrior (another truth the Sunday School crowd finds difficult to believe).

"Who is this who comes from Edom, from the city of Bozrah, with His clothing stained red? Who is this in ROYAL ROBES, marching in His great strength?"

Who wears ROYAL ROBES except the Lord Jesus Christ? Who MARCHES IN GREAT STRENGTH except Jesus?

Then He answers His rhetorical question: "It is I, THE LORD, announcing your salvation! It is I, THE LORD, who has the power to save."

This is not complicated, folks. He spells it out for us. There is only one person who has the power to save, and it is the Lord Jesus Christ!

"Why are your clothes (uniform) so red, as if you have been treading out grapes?"

Get the picture? A man in a white uniform in a pool of grapes. What would he look like after just the first few minutes squishing out the grapes? Now you have the picture in your mind of Jesus as He makes His way from Saudia Arabia and Jordan to the Mt. of Olives in Jerusalem, Israel.

"I have been treading the winepress alone; no one was there to help Me. In My anger I have trampled My enemies as if they were grapes. In My fury I have trampled My foes. Their blood has stained My clothes. For the time has come for Me to avenge My people (the Jews), and to ransom them from their oppressors (Arab Muslims). I was amazed (even Jesus is amazed by the cowardice of the Gentiles) to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So I Myself stepped in (from outer space: heaven) to save them with My strong arm, and My wrath sustained Me (an angry God? an angry Jesus?---and here all this time He was(like)Santa Clause). I crushed the nations in My anger and made them stagger and fall to the ground, spilling their blood upon the earth."

Why is God so angry? The answer is very simple:

Out of all the nations on the earth, He picked Israel as His prize possession. When nations of the world killed, attacked, kidnapped, tortured, and beheaded Jewish people for centuries . . . God finally blows His top.

Can you blame Him?

Oh, there is much, much more in Habakkuk chapter 3. Read it for yourself.

The King is actually coming . . . even if it is just a little different than what we learned in Sunday School. Too bad that we did not actually study our Bibles all those years. But the good news is that some of us are actually opening them now at the END OF TIME and learning something.

This is exciting news, folks, because those of us who are true believers will have indestructable bodies by then and we will be mighty warriors in an army led by Jesus Christ himself!

Israel means "God Prevails" and is mentioned 2,576 times in the Bible.

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon have a combined population of 249 million. Israel's population is 7.5 million. These Muslim nations have 33 times more people than Israel. But somehow Israel continues to survive. God does "prevail"!

Modern Day Names In Psalm 83 Prophecy

This post is an addition to my previous posting titled,"May 15th Invasion Of Israel?" - also referred to as The Third Intifada. We could be very close to seeing fulfillment of the Psalm 83 prophecy, as well as other related prophecies.

As watchmen, we must be able to relate the names in current events to those names spoken of in Scripture. I thought it might be useful to review the nations/peoples involved in the Psalm 83 prophecy, and identify them using modern day names.

Psalm 83
1 O God, do not remain silent;
do not turn a deaf ear,
do not stand aloof, O God.
2 See how your enemies growl,
how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your people;
they plot against those you cherish.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation,
so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”

5 With one mind they plot together;
they form an alliance against you—
6 the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,
of Moab and the Hagrites,
7 Byblos, Ammon and Amalek,
Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8 Even Assyria has joined them
to reinforce Lot’s descendants.

9 Do to them as you did to Midian,
as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10 who perished at Endor
and became like dung on the ground.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb,
all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 who said, “Let us take possession
of the pasturelands of God.”

13 Make them like tumbleweed, my God,
like chaff before the wind.
14 As fire consumes the forest
or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15 so pursue them with your tempest
and terrify them with your storm.
16 Cover their faces with shame, LORD,
so that they will seek your name.

17 May they ever be ashamed and dismayed;
may they perish in disgrace.
18 Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD—
that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Edom = Jordan
The Ishmmaelites = Jordan
Moab = Jordan
Ammon = Jordan
Hagrites = Syria
Gebal/Byblos = Lebanon
Tyre = Lebanon
Assyria = Northern Iraq/ Aram, but really all over the "Near East"
Philistia = Gaza
Descendants of Lot = Jordan
Amalekites = Israel's southern Desert

Now...imagine the Palestinians who are already there in Israel marching toward the borders of Israel to meet the others outside Israel. Also, much of Jordan's population is Palestinian.

Their planned event beginning May 15th will result in all of Israel being surrounded by her enemies. The total numbers involved could be millions attempting to overwhelm Israel. To me, it certainly has all the earmarks of prophecy being fulfilled. Don't you think so?

May 15th Invasion Of Israel?

There has been very little in the printed or spoken media about the up-coming planned "peaceful" invasion into Israel. The event has the potential of having very serious consequences - for it is not likely to remain peaceful for long.

Beginning only eight days from now, Israel's enemies in huge numbers are planning to surround Israel by land and sea - with intentions to march over the boarder and take the land. Can you say, "the beginnings of Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 - with perhaps Gog/Magog (Ezekiel 38/39) following close behind?"

Most people don't have a clue about what could be happening right before our eyes.

The invaders are dead serious about carrying out their plan. The magnitude of their brutal hatred for Israel is beyond our understanding. If rioting should happen, or if armed conflict erupted, those things could provide the sparks for igniting a major blood bath on Israeli soil - or worse.

Something tells me it will not be a simple peaceful gathering on Israel's boarders. The invaders will be going for it all. If Israel is pushed beyond their limit, they will have to retailate, and it could be devastating.

Events of God's end-time plan are unfolding rapidly just as the Scriptures promised would happen. We must pray for the peace and safety of Jerusalem in the face of growing threats, and for the salvation of the Jewish people.

Fatah-Hamas Disagree Over Key Issues

Genesis 16:11-12The angel of the LORD also said to Hagar: “You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers.”

by Elad Benari Fatah and Hamas Disagree

As Fatah and Hamas approach the signing ceremony in Cairo of their recently announced unity deal, some serious disagreements over control of security forces and other key issues have emerged in the past two days.

The unity agreement calls for new elections next year and the integration of Hamas’ army into the Ramallah-based Palestinian Authority army and security forces.

However, according to a report on Tuesday in the Associated Press, Hamas’ Prime Minister in Gaza, Ismail Haniyeh, has said that Hamas would not relinquish control of its security forces and would maintain its rule over Gaza even after the unity accord takes effect. His statements ran counter to the Fatah view that there would be a single authority with control of all the weapons in both the PA-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria and in Gaza.

“The resistance weapons will not be touched, but we will manage together how to act,” Haniyeh said regarding the issue of security forces, without explaining how. He gave no indication that Hamas might give up its armed struggle against Israel or approve peace talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.

Meanwhile, Fatah’s Prime Minister Salaam Fayyad insisted that “The most important thing here is the struggle of our people should be nonviolent. We need to finalize that policy and make it official.”

Another disagreement, said the report, involves Fayyad himself. While Fatah’s chief negotiator, Azzam al-Ahmed, told a news conference in Cairo that the next prime minister would be selected through a consensus of all factions, Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar told the Arabic Al-Hayyat newspaper that the next premier should come from Gaza. These remarks signaled that Hamas does not want Fayyad to stay in office.

Hamas’ demand was clarified by Yousef Rizka, a member of the Hamas government, who was quoted by the Chinese Xinhua news agency that having the prime minister originate in Gaza “will create sort of reasonable geographic balance” since the president and the speaker of the parliament are based in the Judea and Samaria.

Rizka also said that if the Prime Minister is from Gaza, he will be able to travel since he will not have to pass through Israeli checkpoints.

Fatah official Jamal Muhissen responded to the comments and was quoted by Xinhua as saying that the nomination of the prime minister is subjected to his “qualifications and capabilities,” and that it makes no difference if he comes from Gaza or from Judea and Samaria, since “the considerations of the general interest matter,” as he put it.

The unity agreement has come under criticism from Israeli officials, such as Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, who said last week that he believes Hamas will take over Judea and Samaria in the Palestinian Authority elections planned for next year as part of the unity agreement. Lieberman called the reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas “the crossing of a red line” and warned that one of its results will be that hundreds of Hamas terrorists will go free from Fatah-PA jails, and roam in Judea and Samaria.

Lieberman called upon the international community to hold on steadfastly to the conditions it has set for recognition of “Palestinian” governments: the abandoning of terror, the recognition of Israel and the honoring of previous agreements.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, on the eve of an official visit to France and Britain, also called on Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to reverse the unity course. During his visit in Europe, Netanyahu will explain to his hosts that peace cannot be made with a unity government that includes a party calling for the destruction of Israel, a formal policy of Hamas.

Mideast expert Professor Efraim Inbar, Director of Bar-Ilan University's Begin-Sadat (BESA) Center for Strategic Studies, told IsraelNationalNews last week that the Hamas-Fatah unity agreement is “a deal that makes Hamas stronger, which of course is bad for Israel.”

Who Have You Chosen To Serve?

I found the reaction to the news of Osama bin Laden's death most interesting. I cannot recall another instance in my lifetime when huge crowds of people gathered spontaneously in the streets of our major cities to celebrate a death, but that is exactly what happened.

Perhaps what happened is not unlike the cheering that will take place when the two witnesses of Revelation 11 are killed by the Antichrist, and lie dead on the streets of Jerusalem for all to see for 3 1/2 days during the tribulation. At that time there will be a huge celebratiion over their death...for their ministry on earth, annoying to unbelievers, will have finally ended.

Revelation 11:10
And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth.

So, how should believers react to Osama bin Laden's death? While we all feel a sense of comfort and relief with justice being done over the fact that his reign of terror has ended, we should be saddened over the horror bin Laden is facing right now, and will face for all of eternity for bowing to his pagan god allah. Just the thought of a godless eternity should be more than we can bear.

Hebrews 10:31
It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Psalm 5:4-6
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; No evil dwells with You. The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes; You hate all who do iniquity. You destroy those who speak falsehood; The LORD abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.

Ezekiel 33:11
I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live.

God desires for sinners to repent rather than to perish. It is not His will that any should be lost, but that all might come to faith in Jesus Christ. But, perish it will be without choosing Him. All are sinners...including you and me...and Osama bin Laden. All need the Savior, and in this life we must choose to serve Him. Have you chosen Him, and confessed Him as Lord? You must be very sure!

Israel in Trouble with Hamas-Fatah State

All of Israel within Rocket Range under Hamas-Fatah State
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu Map of Hamas-Fatah Attack Range

A new illustrated map presented by the pro-Israel Americans for a Safe Israel (ASFI) shows that a Hamas-Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority state, with or without all the borders the PA demands, would leave all of what would remain of Israel within Katyusha missile range.

The map was created by Mark Langfan, a New York attorney and expert on military and strategic issues who has frequently appeared at Congressional committees on Capitol Hill.

A Hamas-Fatah PA state would allow the Hamas terrorist organization, whose stated aim is the destruction of Israel, to deploy Iranian and Syrian-supplied Katyusha missiles near all Israel urban centers.

Seventy percent of the population of Israel, and 80 percent of the country’s industrial base is located in the coastal region that includes Netanya and metropolitan Tel Aviv, AFSI pointed out. One large PA city is Tulkarm, located only a few miles east of Netanya and overlooking the high-speed north-south Highway 6 (Kvish 6).

Jerusalem would be within easy range of Jericho, where the PA army is trained on a United States-funded base by American military officers.

Be'er Sheva already has been attacked by Grad Katyusha missiles from Gaza, as have been Haifa and the Galilee from Hizbullah terrorists in Lebanon.

“Mahmoud Abbas, our supposed ’peace’ partner, has now joined forces with Hamas, the acknowledged [Hamas] terrorist group", AFSI wrote. "This is actually a declaration of war against the State of Israel since Hamas has never disguised its intentions of destroying Israel.

“The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) has used the diplomatic track, hoping to delude Israelis and the world with its words of peace, while pursuing its terrorist ideology. The truth is now out.”

It added that the creation of a new Arab state controlled by Hamas and Fatah would be “suicidal” for Israel.

Israel has been almost totally unified in its horror of the idea of Hamas being part of the Palestinian Authority.  Even before the "unity" of the two organizations, there was the fear of a Hamas takeover in the PA's Judea and Samaria areas, as happened in Gaza.

The Obama administration has only stated that it is “studying” the new agreement between Fatah and Hamas while former U.S. President Jimmy Carter stated he thinks it is a great idea.

The Carter Center, founded in 1982 by Carter and his wife Rosalynn, commended members of Hamas and Fatah for "having the vision to begin the process of reunifying the Palestinian people.”

Carter added, “Based on my years of contacts with Fatah and Hamas, I am confident that, if handled creatively and flexibly by the international community, Hamas’ return to unified Palestinian governance can increase the likelihood of a two-state solution and a peaceful outcome.”
From Arutz Sheva
WOW! Is he serious???!!! This man is seriously NOT plugged in to what is going on the Middle East. Lord have mercy on him...God will not be mocked by Jimmy Carter or Arabs...Psalm 2 !!!

Egypt Opening Border into Gaza Spells More Trouble

Egypt To Open Border with Gaza Without Israeli Involvement
Move Likely to Mean Flow of Weaponry by Hamas, other Terrorist Groups

  • Border to be opened “in a continuous way”
  • Rafah Opening to enable build-up of terrorist “military machine”
  • Announcement comes just after Hamas-Fatah deal reached
Rafah border between Egypt and Israel.  Click to Enlarge.
Washington, April 29 – Egypt plans to open its border with Gaza on a permanent basis, allowing in people and goods through Rafah without supervision by Israeli authorities, Foreign Minister Nabil al-Arabi said Friday. The decision could mean serious security problems for Israel because of the increased ease of transporting weapons into Gaza, which has been under the control of Iran-backed Hamas.
The announcement came two days after Hamas and Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party reached a tentative power-sharing agreement to be signed next week in Cairo. The deal was brokered by Egypt, and an Egyptian team is expected to travel to Gaza to help implement it.
Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Menha Barkhoum said details of the Rafah opening were still being hammered out but that “We’ll open the crossing point for individuals in a continuous way.”
The reason for opening the border, al-Arabi said, was to decrease suffering on the part of people living in Gaza, despite a statement just days ago by the deputy head of the Red Cross in Gaza that there is NO humanitarian crisis in the area.
Hamas has ruled Gaza since 2007, when it took control of the area in a bloody coup against Fatah. Hamas called for opening the Rafah border on Feb. 11, a day after Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak left office.
Egypt’s al-Arabi also said recently that Egypt wants to “open a new page” with Iran, renewing full diplomatic relations which ended with Iran’s 1979 revolution. In turn, Iran has said it wants “further expansion of relations” with Egypt, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said.
A senior Israeli official expressed concern over Egypt’s decision to open Rafah and exclude Israel from monitoring the border. The Israeli official said Hamas already has used northern Sinai to build “a dangerous military machine.” A newly porous Rafah border would help Hamas bolster its anti-Israel weaponry. "What power could they amass if Egypt was no longer acting to prevent that build up?" the official said.
In the past, Egyptian security worked closely with Israel to control the border. Now, Hamas official Ghazi Hamad, reportedly said that Egypt “will allow up to 300 people from the Gaza Strip to exit each day."
Hamas’ charter calls for destroying Israel and killing all Jews. Article seven of the charter states, “Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! …there is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!”
Since January, Hamas and other terrorist groups have fired 328 rockets, missiles and mortars at Israel. Earlier this month, Hamas targeted a children’s school bus, hitting the vehicle with an anti-tank missile and resulting in the death of a 16-year-old boy.

God's Answer to the Arabs...

Zephaniah 2:8-11 (New King James Version)

8 “ I have heard the reproach of Moab,
And the insults of the people of Ammon,
With which they have reproached My people,
And made arrogant threats against their borders.
       9 Therefore, as I live,”
Says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel,

“ Surely Moab shall be like Sodom,
And the people of Ammon like Gomorrah—
      Overrun with weeds and saltpits,
      And a perpetual desolation.
The residue of My people shall plunder them,
And the remnant of My people shall possess them.”
10 This they shall have for their pride,
Because they have reproached and made arrogant threats
Against the people of the LORD of hosts.
11 The LORD will be awesome to them,
      For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth;
      People shall worship Him,
      Each one from his place,
Indeed all the shores of the nations.

So Much for a Peace Partner...

PA Carries out Ahmadinejad’s Threat and Wipes Israel Off Map
by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu PA Wipes Israel off the Map

The Palestinian Authority has carried out Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s threat to “wipe Israel off the map” and literally has done so by displaying maps of “Palestine” covering all of Israel at the same time its leaders talk about “two states for two people.”

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Fatah movement that controls the PA in Judea and Samaria, has in effect established a “one-state” solution in Fatah offices and in Palestinian Authority schools and offices.

The Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) has documented that professional unions and private PA groups display maps showing a rifle and a quill over “Palestine,” from the Lebanese border in the north to Eilat in the south and from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River.

The maps have been circulated at the same time Abbas campaigns for international recognition of the Palestinian Authority based on the borders of Israel as they existed between 1949 and 1967, during which time Jordan, which had been mandated by the United Nations to rule part of Judea and Samaria, took over and occupied the entire region, including large swaths of Jerusalem, after the War of Independence in 1948.

Jordan surrendered the areas in the Six-Day War in 1967, later relinquishing all claim to it, and Egypt and Syria did the same in Gaza and the Golan Heights respectively.

The maps declare Abbas’ intentions of making what is often termed the “1967 borders” (actually armistice lines that were never recognized) the temporary outline of a would-be Palestinian Authority country, even though – as PMW noted – U.S. President Barack Obama has criticized such maps as a security threat to Israel, in the same category as the threat from terrorist groups who want to destroy Israel.

"I will never compromise when it comes to Israel's security,” he told the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) in 2008. “Not when there are still voices that deny the Holocaust. Not when there are terrorist groups and political leaders committed to Israel's destruction. Not when there are maps across the Middle East that don't even acknowledge Israel's existence."

Nevertheless, the PA’s version “Palestine,” as illustrated on the map with a rifle and quill, was displayed last week at a meeting of the General Union of Palestinian Writers, PMW reported.

The Palestinian Authority has embedded in its school system the ”one-state” idea of a Palestine – without Israel – for years. As far back as 2003, school posters have displayed the Palestinian flag over a map erasing Israel.

The policy has continued unchanged despite statements by Abbas to President Obama that the PA has ceased anti-Israel incitement. Earlier this year, a map was hung in the principal’s office in a PA school which erased Israel and replaced it with "Palestine", with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) flag flying over Israel.

God's Word against Egypt and Syria

Aswān, on the Nile, in Egypt
[Credit: Art Resource, New York]From: www.britannica.com
Aswān, also spelled Assuan or Assouan, Greek Syene, city, capital of Aswān muḥāfaẓah (governorate), Egypt, on the east bank of the Nile River just below the First Cataract. It faces the island of Elephantine (modern Jazīrat Aswān), on which stand the ruins of the ancient city of Yeb. Aswān was the southern frontier of pharaonic Egypt. Its local quarries supplied granite for many ancient Egyptian monuments and are still operated. On the Nile’s eastern bank was the site of the ancient city of Swen (ancient Egyptian: “the Mart”), whence came the Greek Syene and the Arabic Aswan.

Ezekiel 29:9-10 (New King James Version)

9 And the land of Egypt shall become desolate and waste; then they will know that I am the LORD, because he (Pharaoh) said, ‘The River is mine, and I have made it.10 Indeed, therefore, I am against you and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from *Migdol to Syene*, as far as the border of Ethiopia. (*This is the length of the Nile in Egypt--destroying the dam would wipe out most of Egypt)

Isaiah 17:1 (New King James Version)

 Proclamation Against Syria
1 The burden against Damascus. “ Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, and it will be a ruinous heap."

This is the recorded Word of the Lord against Egypt and Syria. With Egypt's amassed power and might, the only way for Israel to defeat Egypt and fulfill prophesy, would be to take out the Aswan Dam, located near the ancient city of Syene. From YNet News "Indeed, Lieberman’s declaration that we may bomb Egypt’s Aswan dam was a threat that we could have done without. However, let’s not forget that in one of late President Sadat’s memoirs written in 1970, before Nasser’s death and while the dam was nearing its completion, Nasser himself said that Egypt can no longer embark on wars, as it will be vulnerable to an attack on a venture that would ruin the whole of Egypt if destroyed."

The only way for Israel to defeat Syria would be to take out the city of Damascus. We are living in the Last Days, and we need to be in constant prayer!

NO Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza-Red Cross

The Gaza Strip is not suffering from a humanitarian crisis, the deputy head of the Red Cross in Gaza said this week.
Mathilde Redmatn, who had been assigned to Congo and Colombia in the past, said that the “fabric of life” in the region was problematic.
“There are two peoples, one living under closure and one living under daily rocket fire, which violates international law,” she said. Her comments were made available on Thursday by the IDF Spokesman’s Office.
“There is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza. If you go to thesupermarket, there are products. There are restaurants and a nice beach. The problem is mainly in maintenance of infrastructure and in access to goods, concrete for example,” Redmatn said.
“Israel has the legitimate right to protect the civilian population; this right should be balanced with the rights of 1.5 million people living in the Gaza Strip,” she said.
Redmatn condemned Gazan rocket attacks on southern Israel, while also calling on the government to allow more materials to enter the Strip.
“Rocket fire from the Gaza Strip is against international law because it is directed at civilians,” she said. “We conduct confidential or bilateral dialogue with Hamas on the matter. As time passes, the dialogue also develops.”
She said the Red Crosswould continue to seek access to abducted IDF soldier Gilad Schalit – who will begin his sixth year of captivity on June 25 – but stressed that the organization lacked the capability to “force anything on Hamas.”
The Red Cross and the IDF are in close contact to “coordinate the entry of goods into Gaza and the entry and exit of people, sometimes our personnel and sometimes patients who are going to Israel to receive medical care,” she said.
The organization is now seeking to strengthen its relationship with soldiers stationed at the Erez border crossing and around the Gaza Strip, the official said.
“Our goal is not to negotiate peace, but to ensure the well-being of the civilian population,” Redmatn said. “We understand and recognize Israel’s right to security, but it needs to maintain the balance between that and the right of Palestinians living in Gaza to a living and to proper medical care. Of course this is also the responsibility of Hamas to its citizens and therefore we also have relations with them.”

No US Support for Unilateral Declaration of Palestinian Statehood

God is orchestrating all that is happening in this troubled region...according to HIS timetable, not Obama's...

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told NPR’s Charlie Rose on Wednesday that the Obama administration does not support a unilateral declaration of Palestinian statehood. Only a day earlier, speaking in Tunisia, Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud ‘Abbas reaffirmed plans to turn to the United Nations General Assembly by September for international support for statehood, claiming that such a move is consistent with President Obama’s own timetable. Clinton said the president will continue to pressure both Israel and the Palestinians, stressing that “negotiations are the only way, but more than that, they are an immediate need.” Clinton also called on Syrian President Bashar Al-Asad to end the violence against protestors demonstrating against his regime. She demanded an end to the “arbitrary arrests, detentions and torture of prisoners.” Clinton warned that Iran is seeking to benefit from the regional unrest and said that it is Iran itself that is the biggest threat in the region.

PLO: Israel's Peace Plan is 'Re-occupation'

I'd like to reiterate: Arabs do not want peace...they want all of Israel!!!

by Chana Ya'ar PLO: Israel Plan is Reoccupation

The Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) -- the greater umbrella organization which preceded and may well survive the Palestinian Authority -- had nothing but scorn in response to the idea of Israel formulating a new plan for peace with its Arab neighbor.

Details of peace initiatives being considered by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu have been recently been leaked in Israeli media.

“Deliberate Israeli leaks of the so-called 'Netanyahu initiative' show it to be little more than a reinvention of Israel's occupation as a system of annexation and control, rather than a genuine attempt to end the occupation and abide by international law and the requirements of peace,” said Hanan Ashrawi, a senior member of the PLO.

Among the ideas allegedly being considered is one involving a further pullback of IDF forces from Judea and Samaria. The plan would effectively turn Area B – until now under IDF military control and PA civil authority – into Area A, under complete PA control.

Another involves an interim peace agreement.

“There will be no negotiations without a cessation of all settlement activities, without clear terms of reference in conformity with international law, and without a binding time line,” Ashrawi said Tuesday.

International efforts are also being made to pressure Israel into more concessions.

The Los Angeles Times has suggested the Quartet of peacemaking nations (Russia, the EU, U.S. and the U.N.) lean on Israel by announcing its recognition of a new PA country within the borders of the 1949 armistice agreement (the so-called “1967 borders), and with eastern Jerusalem as its capital.

But Awshrawi observed in response that the Quartet has not yet officially recognized the PA as a sovereign nation. She added with some contempt that Quartet recognition would not be a substitute for United Nations recognition – which the PA has vowed to seek by September.

The PA has categorically refused to negotiate on any point since Netanyahu entered office, with the exception of three brief meetings brokered by the White House. The meetings one month prior to the end of a 10-month freeze on all Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria. They were immediately discontinued by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas when Israel refused to renew the ban on Jewish construction as a precondition for talks

Arab Video~Israel Does Not Exist

A new Palestinian Authority TV program recognizes all of the Land of Israel – from Tel Aviv to the Negev – as "Palestine," belying PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ “recognition” of Israel.

Palestinian Authority TV defines Palestine: Tel Aviv, Haifa, Galilee, Negev and all of Israel
The program was broadcast last week and was spotted and translated by Palestinian Media Watch. Abbas has stated in the past year that he recognizes the existence of the State of Israel but has steadfastly refused to identify it as a “Jewish” state.
However, the program on official PA television, geared for teenagers, defines all of Israel as Palestine, after the video is introduced with the headline, "Palestine: We will return one day to our home.”
The video shows views from the northern Galilee to the Negev, including metropolitan Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and concludes, "This [video] is our gift to Palestine and to all the Palestinians inside and outside, and throughout the world."
The video is not the first time that Abbas, head of the Fatah movement, and the Palestinian Authority, have provided anti-Israel material in Arabic while telling American and European audiences they seek co-existence with Israel.
PMW noted that at a recent Fatah event in the presence of Mahmoud Abbas and many other senior PA officials, an Arab performer sang "I am returning to ["Palestine"]," which was described in the song as including all of Israel.
The words of the song at the Fatah event, as translated by PMW, include, "We commit and promise to stand behind you, oh Mahmoud Abbas, until Judgment Day. I am returning to you… from Rafiah [in Gaza] to Rosh HaNikra (on the northeastern tip of Israel), north and south, are the picture's borders. From Haifa… to the [Jordan] valley (all of Israel). I am returning to you, the purest land, oh land of the free."

The Libya Precedent

Monday, April 11, 2011
Jack Kinsella - Omega Letter Editor

“We are facing a diplomatic-political tsunami that the majority of the public is unaware of and that will peak in September.” - Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak

The Palestinian Authority is planning to cash in on the wave of unrest and uncertainty sweeping the Middle East, working behind the scenes to build support for a UN resolution welcoming the State of Palestine as a member whose territory includes all of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem.

That includes land that Israel has controlled for forty years, including some Israel had intended to keep in any two-state solution scenario. Especially Jerusalem.

In the event that such a resolution was to pass, Israel would automatically be an occupying force on land belonging to a fellow UN member.

Ehud Barak called the situation “very dangerous” and said that “paralysis, rhetoric and inaction” will only serve to deepen Israel’s international isolation.

Unfortunately for Israel, paralysis, rhetoric and inaction when it comes to America's allies are the Obama administration’s strong suits.

When strong, decisive leadership was demanded during Iran’s failed revolution in 2009, Obama was on the golf course. For six long days, Iran teetered, waiting for some word from the United States.

When Obama finally broke his silence to condemn the Iranian government's reaction to the demonstrations, his criticism was tempered by his reference to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as "President" Ahmadinejad and to Ayatollah Ali Khameni as "Supreme Leader."

The demonstrators heard what they needed to hear. Obama recognized Ahamadinejad's presidency as legitimate while acknowledging Khameni as Iran's 'Supreme Leader'.

Since the catalyst for the revolt was Khameni's legitimization of Ahmadinejad's election, Obama's 'condemnation' cut the legs out from under the revolution. Obama justified his inaction by saying he “didn’t want to meddle” in Iran’s internal affairs.

When Hosni Mubarak’s reign was imperiled, Obama lost no time meddling in Egypt’s internal affairs, calling for his ouster with no regard for how it might impact Israel.

He lost even less time intervening militarily in Libya, devoid of either legal justification or Congressional support.

But the so-called “Arab Spring” isn’t the catalyst for backing the Israelis into a corner. It is the justification.

One wonders why Obama the great peacemaker would lead the US headlong into an unplanned, ill-conceived and ultimately useless military excursion against, of all people, his pastor’s old friend Muammar Ghadaffi?

Especially without the advice and consent of the Congress? And without any clear threat to any US interests? And without any endgame strategy -- or even and endgame?

I am starting to suspect that the only purpose for the attack on Libya is to establish a precedent.

“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”(Zechariah 12:3)

Obama had plenty of time to go to the Congress for authorization. He probably would have gotten it, too. But he didn’t, even though bypassing Congress violated the Constitution and could even justify articles of impeachment.

But Obama didn’t even try. Instead, he worked the Arab League as if it was the US Senate and the UN Security Council as if it was the Congress.

Armed only with international authorizations, he proceeded to commit US forces to combat in what the War Powers Act defines as an illegal war.

One can want Ghadaffi removed, Ghadaffi can deserve to be removed, and it might be extremely satisfying for him to be removed, but none of those reasons make the war legal. And Obama knows it, which is why nobody in the administration will call it a war.

Again, we have this problem of discerning whether Obama is a brilliant strategist playing six moves ahead of everyone else – or if he is the most incompetent buffoon ever trusted with the keys to the nuclear football.

In September, 2009 the Palestinian Prime Minister announced his government would seek statehood within two years. Last September, President Obama said that he expected to have a framework for an independent Palestinian state within one year.

And this September, the Palestinian Authority says it is prepared to take his membership before the UN General Assembly. Thanks to the Islamic and Arab majorities at the UN, it is expected to pass the General Assembly easily.

Membership is determined by the General Assembly and not by the Security Council. In the GA there are no vetoes. In the GA, Washington’s voice is no louder than that of Micronesia’s.

What would a unilateral declaration of statehood mean to Israel? It would mean that Israel would then be in daily violation of the rights of a legal UN member state with all the legal and diplomatic consequences thereunto appertaining.

Using the intervention in Libya as our guide, it means that the UN and Arab League would be perfectly justified in ordering no-fly and no-go zones in Israel to defend Palestinian ‘patriots’ seeking to repatriate their own land.

Using that same template, President Obama could order the United States forces to intervene militarily against Israel, without either the consultation or approval of the Congress. If Obama wants to duck questions, he can always order the assault and then go on vacation for a couple of weeks.

In Ha’aretz last week, Ari Shavit compared the risks posed to Israel in 2011 to the biggest military setback Israel ever faced, the 1973 war. The Yom Kippur War was the closest Israel had ever come to being annihilated by the Arab enemy.

He wrote that “2011 is going to be a diplomatic 1973,” because a Palestinian state will be recognized internationally.

“Every military base in the West Bank will be contravening the sovereignty of an independent U.N. member state.” He added, “A diplomatic siege from without and a civil uprising from within will grip Israel in a stranglehold.”

Mikhail Jubran, writing for the Palestinian Chronicle, called 2011 “The Year of Living Dangerously.”

Did you notice that it’s only April?

If this planned resolution should pass, and I believe it will pass, plus, any establishment of no-fly zones would open the door for UN warplanes and UN "boots on the ground" against Israel - using military force to insure compliance with the new Palestinian state. If that should happen, then, in my opinion we would see a fire ignited in the Middle East and elsewhere as never before seen.

Israel's Blessing!

Despite the world of troubles facing Israel, a miraculous resource discovery has come to the land.
President Obama has dissed Israel, the UN is no friend, and the nations surrounded Israel are hostile. It took Moses 40 years to lead the Israelites out of Egypt to the only land in the Middle East without oil—long a source of wry humor. But Israel, at last, has been granted an almost miraculous blessing.
First, in 2009, Israel announced the discovery of a major natural gas field off its coast in the Tamar region. Then at the end of last December, an immense natural gas discovery was confirmed in the Eastern Mediterranean within Israel’s territorial waters. It has the potential for making Israel a major energy exporter over the next decade while providing the country with possibly 200 years of natural gas. This could negate Israel’s plans to buy natural gas from Russia.
Noble Energy, Inc., a Houston-based company, made the discovery. It said drilling tests in its Leviathon field confirmed it was the world’s largest offshore gas find in the past decade and “easily the largest exploration discovery in our history,” said Charles Davidson, CEO of Noble, which has a controlling interest in the field. Leviathon is nearly twice the size of the Tamar field, also off the coast, discovered by Noble and its partners in 2009. The Leviathon discovery confirmed geologic models of the basin and “validates it contains significant natural gas resources,” Noble said. Chairman Gideon Tadmor of a partner company, Delek Drilling, said the field is “the largest gas discovery in deep water in the past decade. The field covers about 125 square miles, a story in Bloomberg News reported. The field could yield as much as 21.1 trillion cubic feet of gas, an independent engineering firm calculated, Energy-pedia news reported March 29.
The natural gas find could be followed by oil beneath the gas. In any case, the increased wealth and energy independence will make Israel considerably less dependent on energy from other nations, even in the short-run. If the gas discovered is turned into LNG (liquid natural gas) potential buyers would include European countries and including Greece and Cyprus. Leviathon is estimated to start producing gas in 2016, with Tamar to start earlier, in 2013.

Goldstone Recants Report...too little~too late

by Chana Ya'ar and Gavriel Queenann Goldstone: Report Was Flawed

"If I had known then what I know now," Judge Richard Goldstone wrote on Friday in The Washington Post. "The Goldstone Report would have been a different document."

"While the investigations published by the Israeli military and recognized in the U.N. committee’s report have established the validity of some incidents that we investigated in cases involving individual soldiers, they also indicate that civilians were not intentionally targeted as a matter of policy," Goldstone wrote

The comment marks the recanting by Goldstone, who chaired the United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict, of charges that Israel deliberately targeted civilians during Operation Cast Lead. The operation, which commenced on 27 December 2008 and concluded on 18 January 2009, was aimed at stopping terrorist rocket and mortar attacks on Israeli civilians in southern Israel. Most military observers regard the operation as having had only limited, short-term success.

"Our mission was in no way a judicial or even quasi-judicial proceeding," Goldstone continued, noting a common misconception about his eponymous report. "We did not investigate criminal conduct on the part of any individual in Israel, Gaza or the West Bank. We made our recommendations based on the record before us, which unfortunately did not include any evidence provided by the Israeli government. Indeed, our main recommendation was for each party to investigate, transparently and in good faith, the incidents referred to in our report. McGowan Davis has found that Israel has done this to a significant degree; Hamas has done nothing."

"Simply put," Goldstone concluded, admitting the egregious error of assuming Hamas would follow the report's recommendations, "The laws of armed conflict apply no less to non-state actors such as Hamas than they do to national armies. Ensuring that non-state actors respect these principles, and are investigated when they fail to do so, is one of the most significant challenges facing the law of armed conflict. Only if all parties to armed conflicts are held to these standards will we be able to protect civilians who, through no choice of their own, are caught up in war."

Goldstone insisted the purpose of his report was “never to prove a foregone conclusion against Israel,” and that he was the one who had insisted on changing the original mandate adopted by the Human Rights Council, “which was skewed against Israel.”

He maintained that Israel, like any other sovereign nation, “has the right and obligation” to defend itself and its citizens against attacks from abroad and within. “Something that has not been recognized often enough is the fact that our report marked the first time illegal acts of terrorism from Hamas were being investigated and condemned by the United Nations,” he wrote.

He added that he had hoped the inquiry would have begun “a new era of even-handedness at the U.N. Human Rights Council, whose history of bias against Israel cannot be doubted.”

Goldstone went on to note that his report recommended that each party investigate the incidents that were raised. Israel did so; Hamas did not.

“At minimum I hoped that in the face of a clear finding that its members were committing serious war crimes, Hamas would curtail its attacks. Sadly, that has not been the case... That comparatively few Israelis have been killed by the unlawful rocket and mortar attacks from Gaza in no way minimizes the criminality... In the end, asking Hamas to investigate may have been a mistaken enterprise,” he admitted.

“So, too, the Human Rights Council should condemn the inexcusable and cold-blooded recent slaughter of a young Israeli couple and three of their small children in their beds.”

Netanyahu Responds

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has called on the United Nations to cancel the Goldstone Report on Operation Cast Lead following an op-ed piece written by the author of the report, retired South African Judge Richard Goldstone.

“Everything we said was proven to be true,” said Netanyahu. “Israel did not willfully harm civilians. Israel's investigating institutions are trustworthy, while Hamas investigated nothing.

“The fact that Goldstone withdrew his conclusions must lead to the cancellation of the report once and for all. We expect this farce to be rectified immediately."

Defense Minister Ehud Barak added that in order to repair the damage done by the report, the judge should present his current conclusions to all the international bodies to whom he presented the original report – and not merely give his opinion in an op-ed piece.

The IDF is “a moral army that operated according to international law,” Barak sa

Lord...Israel And The Jewish People Are In Your Hands

Most of us are aware that the UN General Assembly scheduled for September is when the Palestinians are expected to declare a state in all parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip occupied by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war. They are then planning to call on the world body to recognize such a state, meaning that any future negotiations with Israel would be governed by a UN resolution based on the 1967 borders.

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon demanded on Wednesday that Israel halt settlement building in the West Bank and put a stop to all forms of violence and incitement. Ban Ki-moon called on Israel and the Palestinian Authority to take advantage of this 'crucial time' to move peace talks forward and realize the two-state solution. He added, "A way must be found for Jerusalem to emerge as a capital of two States."

As we wait on the Lord for His Will to be done, these Scriptures came to mind:

Psalm 2:1-6
1 Why do the nations rage,
And the people plot a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
And the rulers take counsel together,
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces
And cast away Their cords from us.”
4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;
The Lord shall hold them in derision.
5 Then He shall speak to them in His wrath,
And distress them in His deep displeasure:
6 “Yet I have set My King
On My holy hill of Zion.”

Psalm 37: 7-13
7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret—it only causes harm.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.
12 The wicked plots against the just,
And gnashes at him with his teeth.
13 The Lord laughs at him,
For He sees that his day is coming.

Dear Lord, I am growing so weary of all that I see in this world. Help us to lean on You, to cast our burdens on You, and to fully trust in You. We've never before seen our world in such an uproar as it is today. We've never seen so many nations gathered against Israel. We've never before seen the USA turn against Christians, and Christian principles, with a total blurring of right and wrong. However, You have told us these things would come - that we might know we are in the end-times just before Your return.

Father, I am praying now for Israel, and praying against the division of Jerusalem and the theft of Judea and Samaria by Islamist, terrorist supporting Palestinians. Praying that Israel's enemies will scatter, and that You will be glorified. Praying that You would abundantly bless Israel, multiply Your protection of her, and grant her peace, wisdom, strength, hope and joy even in the midst of all the storms and attacks.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem and especially for the salvation of the Jewish people. Also praying that Israel's enemies would have an opportunity to repent, and declare You Lord over all.

I pray and ask it in Jesus' Name - Amen!

Upside Down And Inside Out

More and more I am finding myself in a state of incredible sadness, frustration, and helplessness concerning all that is going on in the world today. It is sometimes overwhelming...often feeling as if a massive tsunami is sweeping over me, leaving a broad path of devastation in its wake.

Does anyone understand what I am saying? Is anyone with me on this?

Good people are hurting financially...many deal with serious health problems...they have family relationship issues...large numbers of people go to bed hungry each night...many have lost their jobs and homes...and for some, it is a constant struggle to face the thought of tomorrow – almost to the point of hoping the day would not arrive for them.

Today, there is greed, hatred, and corruption everywhere we look. As a whole, the world has become financially bankrupt, morally bankrupt, and spiritually bankrupt. Evil exists almost everywhere, and is now called good...everything is inside out...upright things have been cast down...and right is now left. The so-called “American Dream” is rapidly disappearing...it is almost gone...never to return.

My emotions cry out for everything to somehow go back to where we once were not long ago. I would fix it all today if I could, but I know that is impossible.

The God of the Bible is quickly being kicked out of our society. Pagan religions have rushed in to fill the empty void areas. Apostasy has entered our churches...either eliminating or diluting the Truth. The narrow way that Jesus taught as the only path to heaven has become a wide freeway - allowing anything and everything to go there. As a result, the thousands of people that die every hour of every day are dying without Jesus in their life...only to face a Godless eternity.

Are you seeing these things happening, too? Or, is my imagination just working overtime? Oh...there is so much more that must be told!

The world is about to explode with nations and peoples killing one another in war and violence. Natural disasters are occurring with increasing frequencies never before seen...bringing death and destruction from earthquakes, floods, tornados, drought, famine, and more. In addition, many deadly new diseases have emerged during the past few years. For the first time in history, mankind has the means available to destroy all life on planet earth...and some men have the mindset to do just that.

The tiny nation of Israel...God’s chosen land for His chosen people...is now totally surrounded by nations that are aggressively pursuing their goal of destroying Israel and the Jewish people. The USA...once an ally in support of Israel...has now joined with all other major nations of the world in turning her back on the Jewish people and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The God-sent consequences for those actions will be swift and sure. Of that, we can be very certain!

As if people needed any more disruption in their lives, then, ponder this as well. During the last days a one-world government...a one-world economic/financial system...and a one-world religious system will be set in place. They will be controlled by a new-world-order, and led by a one-world leader. Aggressive efforts toward accomplishing those objectives are currently being carried out by a group of the world's most powerful and influential individuals.

Are you still following along with me? Now...listen very closely, for this is most important!

While I am saddened, frustrated, and feel helpless concerning all of those things, the situation is not hopeless. My hope is in Jesus Christ...our Blessed Hope! My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. Christ is the solid Rock on which I stand...all other ground is sinking sand. Only by the grace of God, my faith and trust is in Jesus my Savior, my Lord, and the Master of my life. I am assured of victory in Jesus!

Many of the things we see happening in the world are the warning signs given by Jesus, that when we see them, we would know the time of His return is very near. Today, all of creation is groaning under the pain of those birth pangs, or warnings, as described by Him. Those who are watching will not be surprised or alarmed as they occur, for believers know they must happen. Scripture also commands that when we see the signs, then, we must look up and expect to see the King of Kings and Lord of Lords return at any moment to call for His own.

I am wholly leaning on Jesus’ Name. How about you? The time is very short, my friend. Is your hope built on Jesus, the solid Rock...or on something less? You must be very sure!

Terrorist Attack on Jerusalem!

This is the latest headline from Jerusalem...What is it that people, especially Christians, don't get about the hatred toward Jews? When will the truth come to light and the lies be exposed? Psalm 83...Another Look at What Might Happen Soon...

 Fulfilling Prophecy – Psalm 83
Remember Hezbollah? Back in 1983 it was the perpetrator of the truck bomb murder of 241 US Marine peacekeepers while they were sleeping in their Beirut barracks. Hezbollah soon became a state within the state of Lebanon — flexing its terrorist muscles with impunity. So much so that the UN finally passed Resolution 1559 requiring the disbanding and disarming of Hezbollah. Of course, Lebanon never did this.
In June, Hezbollah initiated a terrorist raid into Israel killing members of an Israeli army patrol and kidnapping two Israeli soldiers. This was nothing new, but enough was enough. Israel demanded the return of their kidnapped soldiers alive and a withdrawal of Hezbollah’s highly sophisticated military bases from southern Lebanon. Hezbollah refused. Tired of waiting for the enforcement of UN Resolution 1559 requiring the disbanding and disarming of Hezbollah, Israel took the role of the enforcer. Israel’s surgical bombing of Hezbollah’s civilian-shielded bunkers began. After a week, ground troops attacked Hezbollah’s strategic rocket-launching sites that were raining havoc on northern Israel. Another Israeli-Arab war had begun. Hezbollah’s rockets were solely targeting the Israeli civilian population, whereas Israeli bombing targeted Hezbollah sites that were bunkered under civilian structures surrounded by civilian occupied buildings.

Background

After the death of Mohammed in AD 633, the Arab armies swarmed out of the Arabian Peninsula, pushing westward in North Africa to the Atlantic Ocean and eastward to India. Consequently, there are now 52 Arab states. Additionally, there are Moslem nations like Turkey and Iran that have a large minority of Arabs.
But, a very special portion of land in the Middle East was spared Arab domination — the land of Israel. Israel had been a disobedient people. Therefore, in AD 70 God permitted the Roman army to temporarily disburse His people from their land during a “double” period (1845 years) of punishment. The land of Israel was to remain relatively sparse of population — “desolate of man and beast.” Jeremiah 16:13-18; 33:10. After the “double” ended in 1878, Jews were miraculously permitted to return to their land. Finally the UN partition vote granted them the opportunity to establish an independent state in 1948. The Arabs would have none of this. Armies of six Arab nations stormed the newborn Israeli State. Outnumbered 600 to 1, God gave the victory to Israel. Three more wars followed. Miracles happened. Israel won each war. Why?

Psalm 83

Psalm 83 appears to describe an ongoing conflict between Israel and the Arabs that will climax in a final war in which Israel will win a decisive victory over the Arabs. Psalm 83 is a prayer in which Israel asked the Lord for deliverance from a group of nations that verses 3-5 show are united in a confederacy or league for one purpose — the destruction of the nation of Israel. In the 1950s the Arab League of Nations was actually formed. It united the Arab nations together for the very purpose of the destruction of Israel.
Verse 6 mentions some of these nations. Bible scholars and historians agree that ancient Israel was never confronted by such an elaborate alliance of nations, namely, Ishmaelites, Edom, Ammon, Amalek, Hagarenes, Gebal and the Philistines. Therefore, this prophecy must have an end-time fulfillment. These Old Testament territories are in modern times the nations of Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.
Obviously the Philistines represent the Palestinians. Edom, Moab, and Ammon occupied what is the modern state of Jordan. Gebal is Lebanon (Joshua 13:5,6.) Iraq was populated by the Hagarenes or Hagarites that dwelt east of Gilead in the wilderness of the River Euphrates (1 Chronicles 5:1,9,10.) The Ishmaelites settled what is today Saudi Arabia and Ishmael’s eldest son, Nabajoth, is identified with Syria.
Lebanon (Gebal) and Tyre play a prominent role in Psalm 83. Hezbollah is headquartered in Tyre which has been heavily attacked by Israel’s army in this current war. Back in the 1970s the PLO had 6,000 Palestinian terrorists in southern Lebanon creating havoc in Galilee, northern Israel. Thousands more Palestinians were amassed in the environs of Tyre where Arafat was headquartered.
Finally on June 6, 1982, in “Operation Peace of Galilee” the Israeli army invaded Lebanon and pushed the Palestinians back to Tyre. Israel was ready to take Arafat and the upper echelon of PLO leaders captive. But something incredible happened. Bewildered and bitterly disappointed Israel watched as the US Navy intervened and gave Arafat and his henchmen safe passage to Tunis. Meanwhile US Marines were stationed in Beirut to keep the peace. That’s when Hezbollah, a new Shiite terrorist group, murdered the US Marines. This caught the eye of Iran, the theological center for Shiite Moslems. Through Syria, Iran bankrolled and provided the military might for Hezbollah.
The Israeli army retreated to southern Lebanon where it maintained a buffer zone to prevent terrorist attacks on northern Israel. Syria and Iran have been transforming Hezbollah into a highly professional army with some of Russia’s most sophisticated rockets, anti-tank missiles and other Russian weapons. Hezbollah soldiers, rocket launchers and weapons are bunkered down in civilian population centers throughout southern Lebanon. If Israel becomes a threat to Iran, it is Hezbollah’s job to take on Israel. As Hezbollah increased in military might, it harassed Israel’s buffer zone demanding that Israel withdraw from southern Lebanon.
Four Israeli mothers who lost sons in the conflict with Hezbollah started the “Four Mothers in Black” campaign for the removal of all Israeli troops from southern Lebanon. A majority of Israeli public concurred. In 2000 Labor Prime Minister Barak withdrew all Israeli troops from Lebanon, naively thinking Hezbollah would be satisfied. It was not. Hezbollah rockets continued to hit Israel. The international community did nothing to enforce UN Resolution 1559. Nothing! Ariel Sharon made the same mistake in the Gaza unilateral withdrawal. Now PLO / Hamas rockets are being fired from Gaza all over southern Israel.
This current Lebanese war is difficult. Why? Hezbollah’s army was inspired, trained and armed by Iran.  Still for many it is disappointing. Even if Israel finally wins, it will have suffered heavy losses. Never before was Israel’s civilian population so devastated. Why isn’t the Lord giving Israel a decisive victory as in the past? Perhaps this is the Lord’s way of teaching Israel not to give up land the Lord permitted them to gain. After all, He did promise Israel most of Lebanon up to Hamath. Some feel the least Israel could have done was keep part of southern Lebanon for a security zone.
Added to this sad outlook is the prospect that the current Israeli Government leadership has expressed the position that this war is impetus to carry our further withdrawals. That would mean more dismantling of communities within the historic heartland of Israel—Judea and Samaria (commonly called the West Bank). The unilateral “convergence plan’ would further strip Israelis from their Biblical roots and raise more questions about the security of distance which legitimate control of Judea and Samaria offer the State of Israel.
The ongoing Israeli-Arab conflict will eventually culminate in a complete victory for Israel. The prayer of Psalm 83 will be answered by the Lord. Israel will take back any land given up. Additionally, she will acquire parts of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and all of Gaza. Isaiah 11:14; Zephaniah 2:3-10; Zechariah 10:10; Obadiah 19-20 (NIV).
A final comment on Psalm 83. Verse 8 ASV.  “Assyria also is joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot.” Assyria could refer to Iraq; however, verse 6 identified the Hagarenes as symbolizing Iraq. Assyria is used in many Israel end-time prophecies to symbolize Russia. For example Micah 5:5, and Zechariah 10:10. The Greek word for helped literally means strong arm  which could symbolize military help. When Russia was a super-power vying with the US for world supremacy it supplied the Arab nations with military hardware. Why? So the Arabs could defeat Israel, the US ally, leaving Russia the dominant force in the oil rich Middle East. In the early 1990s, Russia on the verge of bankruptcy toppled as a world power. Economics have changed. Russia once again is aspiring to attain world supremacy. Russia is not only arming Iran but in fulfillment of Psalm 83 is once again the strong arm of the Arab nations.
Many televangelists are heralding the invasion of Gog, Ezekiel 38, as the next prophetic step in the Middle East. But the Scriptures indicate the above-mentioned decisive Israeli-Arab war must first be fought. Then Israel will enjoy a short period of peace and security. Ezekiel 38:11. After this Ezekiel 38 will occur—an invasion by Russia allied with a group of nations including Iran (Persia). Iran never seems to give up, but Iran will finally learn not to oppose Israel. God will fight for Israel as in the days of old, and Christ’s Kingdom will be established in Jerusalem and encircle the globe. Ezekiel 38, 39 and Zechariah 14. The ultimate boundaries of Israel as defined in Genesis 15:18 will be acquired after Christ’s Kingdom is fully set up.
